Why do I block out the Mini-Map with annotations for Sub battle replays?
I block it out because the Mini-Map gives away who sent in the battle replay. And in most cases whoever sends in the battle replay wins the battle. So I block it to keep it a surprise :D

Golden Eagle the faction is named niceans in the mods. At the start date the Latin Empire ruled constantinople. The niceans can form the byzantine empire is they capture Constantinople ;)

Awesome battle! So glad to actually see the good guys win after being terribly outnumbered. So many times I feel the only reason why the good guys win is if they actually have comparable numbers. This battle really allowed Gondor to shine.

I havent read the books yet so I dont know. I'm still in the first parts of silmarillion. If it was the battle you mentioned then they already did that scenario battle.

James Miraballes Thats the battle i assume happened there because in the movie you can see a corpse grab frodo and his armor is just the same as the elves in that battle, and i believe the location matches aswell? I havent read the books myself so i cant answer with 100% accuracy

I had the AI climb cave trolls through ladders two days ago, so I think it can be done. I just went and gave up that wall once it happened.

that would be great, a river map that you have to fight through and changes throughout the seasons. In winter it freezes over, in spring and summer it is smaller but full of life and in autumn it is a huge raging torrent.

i thnk what would be cool is during a land battle, if there happens to be ships down on the waterfront on a river, your soldiers can commandeer that vessel(s) and use it to cross the river and possibly due battle with any other naval forces

That cav charge saved the Gondor forces. If it didn't delay that entire army in the back, Gondor's forces would have been more split from the beginning. Charging them allowed Gondor to focus on the walls & all those bodies are proof of it being a good idea.

My only problem with Osgiliath is that when reinforcing from the bridge on the campaign map reinforcements break and don't enter the battle. Otherwise, lovely map. Killed faramir with one charge from black Numernorians.

I dolphinitely liked the tower guard in the first BFME, they weren't just chump spearmen like in 2. Larger squads than 5 would've been nice though.

the right gate for gondor was intaced thats why archers and catapult wouldnt fire through it

Damn, that was almost like a classic M2TW siege battle - even down to the initial cavalry harass, mega breach battles and catapult madness. Just with orcs, trolls and stuff. Good game to all. Speaking of trolls, what's up with these recent ones? Seems that when I first saw TATW games, trolls were unstoppable death-b*****ds, players just fielded a single unit and they tore up the enemy like nothing - the death of a single troll was a Big Event. Now everyone brings two or three units and even the Ologs die like flies without achieving much. Are trolls now cross-bred with hobbits or something? Maybe they need to be cycle-charging like cav...straight in, straight out, cos otherwise they're going to just fall over and die before the third kick.

A good fight. Personally I think that if the third Mordor had been able to attack simultaneously with the other 2 instead of being so delayed by cav harass, it would have ended in a victory for Mordor.

When you were doing the Gondor army comps you just read the same one twice. Also, are the rangers basically England's Sherwood Archers, small in number but excellent in ranged skirmishes and melee fights?

[SPOILER] For me the moment when Gondor won the fight was when they get clear victory on the flanking Mordor army. That allows them to put more troops in the main fight and take the lead in the whole battle.
