Peak design has a cult-like following and for good reason, they began by creating camera accessories with their patented clip system. Since then they've expanded to bags and other accessories - all focused on Photography.
They do well to realize, however, that photographers have lives outside of photography, so their bags are also practical as normal, everyday carry bags. This is what separates Peak Design from the rest.

The Peak Design Everyday Messenger is perfect for you if…
✅ Have DSLR gear and want a messenger bag. It's as simple as that, this bag was literally designed for you.
✅ Really love the look of this messenger bag - it's not our favorite look but it's certainly unique and recognizable. Our friends and co-workers kept asking: "Dude is that a Peak Design?" - "yep" - "Nice". Goes to show, Peak Design is quite famous for its.... er... Design...
✅ Have things to carry. Seriously- most messengers are TINY. It's as if they expect you to carry a laptop and a pencil, but leave no room for a notebook.
The Peak Design Messenger on the other hand is HUGE, by messenger standards. Need to pick up a bottle of wine before going to a friend's house? Want to get some groceries after work? This messenger will help you achieve all of these normal tasks, where other messengers may struggle.

❌ IF you use a small mirrorless camera. This bag is LARGE. Unless you plan to use this as a photography + lifestyle bag. If you want just a photography bag, we suggest something smaller.👇🏼
→ Peak Design Everyday Sling → Same, but smaller

❌ Not a super sleek business messenger - the style of this messenger may not fit well into corporate offices, this is more of an "I'm a creative" type of bag. If a sleek and professional look is for you, here's a suggestion with just as much capacity. 👇🏼
→ AER tech sling 2 → Modern carrying method, less bulky

The Peak Design everyday Messenger fulfills its title. It's perfect for photography, or just everyday life-living. It has been designed with a large enough capacity to manage most daily carry needs, and a thoughtful enough layout should you need to bring your DSLR. @@CannabisTechLife For my daily carry and I am definitely using the 13L messenger bag to get from work, home, and just traveling in between other family events. I carry daily my laptop, charger, wireless mouse, my camera body (a7c) with a tamron 28-75, and hard drives/wires. It is a good weight. I have options to load it out more and play some puzzle work with it but then weight will be a concern for daily use. But there is definitely a lot of customization potential with it.

so i have the v1 15" which i now just use it to store my telephoto lenses. I purchased the v2 in grey for work in the summer, i use the 30l backpack in the winter. It's a great bag, although i worry about the tube (london), but its a good smart bag. I also got a good deal, £90 for a 2nd hand bag. when i arrived, it looked new. I tried to register it, and it worked. So, a bargain.

I owned the V1 messenger and the V2 design is quite different in a lot of ways. Like, way more differences than the V1 to V2 backpack. There are hardly any reviews at all of the V2 messenger so thanks for taking a look. I'd really like to see a review of the V2 messenger by someone who used/owned the V1 to get an idea of how those changes add up. The V2 got rid of quite a few aspects which were major selling points on the V1, such as the convenient top zip for quick access to the main compartment. The front zip pocket also looks significantly smaller, and they no longer offer the 15inch size which I own. Me, I opted to replace my V1 messenger with a 20l backpack zip because I don't think the 13l only size of the V2 messenger is big enough for my carry needs.

Thank you! This bag is extremely water resistant but it is NOT water proof. Do not put it in the middle of a typhoon and think your stuff will be ok. But if you are walking down the street, it starts raining heavily, and you have an umbrella and are trying to keep yourself and your messenger dry-ish, yeah it'll be fine :)

Waiting for this bag to be delivered. Loved Peak Design's duffle and 45L travel backpack. Need something that is a good companion to travel backpack and everyday carry - I prefer messengers to backpacks, because most backpacks just offer too much space for what I carry, but I need something bigger than a compact messenger. Hoping this is the right one!

@@Nomads.Nation Welp... it's just too small for my use case. I thought maybe I could fit my larger laptop in the main compartment and it's a no go. It's a very comfortable bag, but I do wish there was a better way to carry a water bottle, and I wish there was a bigger size. Now I'm looking at the Nomatic messenger bag!

Hey guys, just some feedback on your vids from a fellow videographer: I have to say I do really like how far into detail you go with your videos, you've definitely helped me make a more informed decision of which bag to go for (trying to decide between the nomatic and peak design messengers) On the flip side, however, I think you guys could really benefit from shooting your vids in higher resolution (or with a better camera) and some of your angle choices are questionable in your Multicam setups (don't include shots with the other camera in frame) Just some constructive criticism (you did ask for it!!) I wish you all the best and I think you guys deserve more traction on your videos, you just need to tighten up the bolts a little on the production side of things Keep creating and keep getting better! PS: I suggest you guys go and check some of these links in the descriptions of your vids, they either don't work at all, or they just link me to the website (rather than a discount like you've mentioned in the vids)

YES! I've been waiting for feedback like this for ages! I'm Tav, the guy behind the camera- as far as getting better equipment, there's not much I can do, but id LOVE to hear more about the angles! besides keeping the A camera in shot, are there any other weird ones? I was going for a cool, behind the scenes feel with it, but I guess its breaking the fourth wall, if A cam is in the shot. I'd love to hear more, but I can't DM you :(

I bought the 20l zip last week and have found it too rigid to to only carry on one shoulder and too difficult to access my laptop and 12.9 iPad Pro. My question is if the messenger bag is more comfortable and also easier to access both a laptop and tablet?
@Nomads.Nation
@Nomads.Nation 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Andy, I think that backpacks are always more comfortable than messengers due to even weight distribution, but for a messenger this is one of the most comfortable I've ever tested. As for laptop access - certainly easier when carrying the messenger, but about the same if not. Hope that helps! Let us know what you decide to get

Great review, I just don't understand the issue with the looks. I own the black version, and I think it's BY FAR the best looking messenger out there. The Nomatic just looks plain boring to me. I'm with you on this one, wallet and phone on my person for security, not comfort reasons if I am in a busy suburban area. I feel it is more likely a person could grab my bag and run if I am distracted, sitting with the bag off, etc... than the chances of them physically confronting me and making me empty my pockets.

@@Nomads.Nation Thiefs are super sensitive about camera bags models (not in a fashion meaning:D ). So... The problem is that it's not like someone will go stealth and pick your camera from the bag. I would say that suddenly a victim stands in the artificial crowd. At this time the bag gets cut open, and whatever falls out of it is lost. Especially popular with backpacks, as it will take a second or two for the victim to realize and turn around. Anyway, maybe it's just my experience, but I would never put phone or wallet into side pocket or the biggest compartment - I would put it to section that you will not loose when it gets cut.
