The lovely team at Blonde Robot were kind enough to lend me two bags from Peak Design to have a little play and give you guys a little review! Soooo, not sponsored by Peak or by Blonde Robot really. I have both (lol). The messenger bag is a great carry-on bag for the airplane and to take my laptop and tablet to and from work (or to create a portable work situation). I originally bought it for my camera gear and, of couse, it works for that. I use the sling for taking my camera gear places whether walking or on my bike.

No worries! Glad it was a helpful video. Yeah Greys are awesome! Never had a Greyhound before her and was very impressed with her temperament. So placid and calm with little bursts of crazy energy that are rather hilarious.

Thanks, Dillon! Glad you liked it. I'm actually an introvert (not joking at all) if you ever see some of my first videos you'll see how nervous I was. Honestly it just comes with time. I'm still not perfect, but it's getting better and better with each video and the less and less jump cuts I have to make. That's one of the reasons I made a channel! To get some confidence. 😊

It's to bad Peak Design does not have options for the Everyday Messenger bag that would fit a 16" laptop. Also, I would have loved if you cover security for the bag when traveling.

I am rather attached to my Billingham Hadley Pro. It's OK to have 4 bags, each fits certain shoots.

The everyday messenger bag's strap has three slots to adjust the strap to either fit like a traditional messenger or more closely like a sling bag. I have the 15" and it works wonderfully. My only complaint is when it's fully loaded, the connection point for the straps tends to squeak as you walk around. Very faint, but still noticeable.

I have the 10 litre sling as well and can actually fit up to a 13 inch MacBook Pro depending on how full you pack. How are you packing the water the bottle? I believe it should fit as it's meant to fit in the front section of the sling in its expanded state.

Wow! Surprising to hear about the 13''. I like to pack my water bottle upright so there is no accident in leaking I was using the main compartment.

Yea i was quite surprised too. Ahh I see, only a 250ml would fit upright, however the way I carry makes it carry the bottle upright by having one side closer to my shoulder making it a tight carry but when I set it down it wouldn't be anymore. Another bottle I use is called the A5 Memobottle that fits within the main compartment with only one shelf comfortably. This is only possible without carrying camera gear of course.

Whats its the size of your water bag? Im looking a bag to fit my 5d + 70-200 attached - vertical. Something around 28cm

The water bottle? Its 500ml, just a little too tall for the sling. I dont think a 5D plus 70-200 attached would fit. Maybe separate would work. I would definitely reccomend heading to a store if you can to test it out! :)

@@flickcine thanks a lot... I asked because I live in Brazil, and here we dont have any physical store that sells Peak Design, will have to order on line from US. Here the market is all about Manfrotto and Lowepro...

@@513769 Ah yes, I see. That's fair. Another option would be to measure how long and wide your rig will be and compare that ito the inner dimensions of the bag maybe? I don't think the 5D with 70-200 attached would fit upright but it may just fit without the inner dividers and laying horizontally. But then you've limited pockets for other accessories. But hey! That might work for you :)

Good idea!! It would be a bit of a cheat to use my old laptop as it is breaking down so maybe I'll find someone with the new MacBook to compare render times with. That sort of video or something else?

Do you have a favourite? Do you own either of these bags and want to share your thoughts? Maybe you own another bag and you love that design. Share below!! Also just want to state because it may not have been clear in the video: I didn't get gifted these bags, I approached Blonde Robot and asked specifically for these two bags on short loan to review. Not only for the benefit and entertainment of my subscribers but also for myself because I've always wanted to try them out. If you believe that makes the review biased, that's fine. But I assure you, everything in the video is my own opinion, if the bags were bad I would have said so as I do with any other reviews I do on this channel. Cheers! :)

The sling's zipper design is a deal breaker. Not easy for getting the camera out compared to the messenger bag..

It wasn’t a thought Ma’am, I was making a statement. It wasn’t an opinion either, I was simply stating a fact I saw. Your videos are just ads for a company. Those affiliate links in the video description are kickbacks from the company. I know a shill when I see one Ma’am. I might not be that old but don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining. Felicia Smith It is not my opinion. Are you still not grasping what that means? I was stating a fact I saw about your channel. Playing kind is kinda shady Lady. Being sweet in your response means ya nice, doesn’t mean ya good. Affiliate links are the corporate money you take from Amazon. I’m just asking you to be up front about who ya are shilling for. Folks should know who pays them bills. I know it’s tricky lady, life is. Just don’t bullshit a bullshitter. I called you out for a flaw in yo shit, own it and be better. You don’t need their dirty money to make clean money yaself. Maybe try making VIDEOS from now forward, and stop making these useless ADS. Own that shit girl, you got this. I mean that. @@phieryone No no, I understand where you might have come to your conclusions. I do have a disclaimer in my description for affiliate links to explain that I get a commission from Amazon. The commission doesn't come from Blonde Robot or Peak Design themselves at all and on top of that the commission is from any sale made after following any link, not just the products listed. Sure Peak would make a sale if a customer decided of their own free will to buy something of theirs but ultimately I would get the percentage from Amazon. Hope that makes sense. In terms of not owning the bags: I personally approached Blonde Robot who is a distributor of Peak Design here in Australia. I asked if it were possible to loan two demo bags because I've heard great things about Peak Design and wanted to see if they actually were that good. Blonde Robot were kind enough to send them on loan, I did the review, was pleasantly surprised by how good they were, shared my thoughts and returned the bags. That's as simple as that transaction went. At no point did Blonde Robot ask for a shout out in my video, I did that of my own accord because they were nice enough to send the bags over and allow me to review them. Reviews don't make the majority of videos on my channel. I only do them when I get the chance to with either something I own or something I can borrow. My channel is still too small to be getting ''perks'' with companies for reviews or otherwise, so I only do these on occasion. Most of my videos are tips, tricks and basics of filmmaking. Hope that clears things up for you.

Yea cool that you know how to use Premiere, but this is bad review, cutting to different shots all the time including your face not been able to get good look at bag and its functions. This is not fucking MTV music video.

Thanks for your feedback! 👍😊 I haven't watched this video over in a long time and yeah I could have included more shots of bag features to get a better view of it. It's an older video of mine. Even if its only September last year, KZfaq is a constant learning process so cheers for the feedback!
