just got back from the theater seeing this and holy crap was it good. super emotional ending for sure. you really end up falling in love withy these brothers through out the movie.

A lot of people seem to like it. It was terrible in my opinion. Slow, moody, boring, terrible dialogue. It’s the first movie I wanted to walk out on since Saints of Newark. I could hardly wait for it to end.

@@thebruhnetwork I was when I was a kid. I live in Dallas and grew up watching Saturday night wrestling. I really had high hopes this movie would be good but it, to me, was the worst movie I’ve seen since Saints of Newark. It was slow,moody,and boring. The script was follow the dots terrible. I could go on but a lot of people seem to like it so good for them.

I went to see it with a non wrestling fan, just casually knew about the Von Erichs (we’re from Texas). We both cried multiple times. Great great movie all around. Dont expect documentary facts, but in the end, the message is clear.

I didn’t really know much of the von Erich because I was born within the 2000/2010 era of wwe so watching this movie and then watching the dark side of the ring really made me appreciate there in ring work but showed me that all wrestling companies couldn’t beat the horrors that come with wrestling

And Kerry had probably the most muscle mass out of the brothers, Efron looked more like Kerry did in terms of his physical condition, not saying Kevin wasn’t jacked, but Kerry was always a little bit bigger

I love this movie for a multitude of reasons. Tom Sawyer was Kerry’s walk out music and was my introduction to Rush at 9 years old. My brother and I lived in Dallas when the Von Erich’s were starting their run and we were there for David and Mike’s passing. When I tell you that it was a big deal for the people of Dallas (and Texas as a whole), people were devastated. This movie is pure nostalgia for people like me but the immeasurable tragedy puts a real human element to the brothers and makes you appreciative of not just their wrestling ability but the real bond all of the brothers shared. Movie immediately jumped into my top 5, mostly because of how it resonates with me personally.

I know, if I watch the movie or buy it in March, I'll definitely for sure cry all through it, because I used to watch World Class, when I was a teenager, and it will probably hurt me the most, and I practically grew up with them in my thoughts prayers and heart!! Most people hating on the movie are basing off the dark side of the ring documentary (which is understandable) but gotta understand that they couldn’t fit a lot in because of the length it would be and the also wanted to show off some of the happy sides and moments of the von Erich’s and not only the tragic stuff that’s been the only news around them for years

Even though timelines are messed up and things are written out entirely in some instances... Dont let it keep you from seeing it. I get its done for pacing and keeping the movie on track and Its still a great movie. The performances were great and it has heartfelt moments that really showcase what these fellas were going through. The casting is awesome too if youre a wrestling fan... They NAILED the Freebirds, and Harley Race.

@@shoWbitz Yup that's David Manning. He was Fritz Von Erich's righthand man. Fritz trusted him very much. Bill Mercer was kind of the precursor to Jim Ross giving the play by play of the matches.

I like the movie don’t get me wrong and the story was incredibly emotional and touching but it was incredibly fast paced and it seemed that everything occurred all at once. It should’ve been a three part tv series at least. The deaths were too unrealistic occurring essentially one after another without any breathing space or room to acknowledge what just happened. It was great but some flaws for sure

Sigh...my niece was going to see it yesterday. I told her how I'd watched Kerry, Kevin and David and Chris when she was a baby and she told me not to tell her what was going to happen. Respect to Efron, but Kevin and Kerry were beautiful athletes to watch (he ain't it) and there was a fluency to Kevin's movements that I've never seen in other pro wrestlers. I will probably not see the movie. It's such a tragic story.

of course he lifted... people literally have no idea how fitness works... so many people are crying about him "looking like he is on steroids" (doubt he took them) and then there's this take - where you think people who dont lift ACTUALLY look like that lmao. Harley Race lifted and he is built like an alcoholic high school football coach. If someone "doesn't lift" they'll look like Mike in this movie but worse. Shit Race was probably on steroids and looked like an out of shape Elvis. People lift and take steroids and look like every 50 year old ex-athlete who hasnt worked out in years.

wahhhhh, cry about it. His popularity and acting is one of the things giving this movie actual mainstream appeal and not just a small tiny wrestling movie. The casting of Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White is what makes people under 45 who dont like wrestling want to go see this movie.. and they do an AMAZING job
