Thank you for giving the clear "path" to how you got to the interview and specifically giving credit. I wish it was more common in the theme park you tube space. As for opening timing: I wonder about a earlier opening month that does one land at a time each week to really hone in on improvements. Then a phased land opening afterward. Or two at a time. Either way, they have lots of operations help from the unopened lands to learn, and to pitch in when needed

My guess has always been basically identical to IOA’s opening timeline back in 1999. Soft opening/TM and passholder previews starting late March (around the 29th), official opening at the end of May (around the 30th.)

@1:26- A-HA! I had heard that some of Disney's Imagineers had left for Universal, so here's the proof it happened haha. That being said, I really hope they still take their time in making sure everything runs smoothly and safely too. I've been waiting for this park to open since I first heard about it back in 2022. I am still trying to figure out when I want to go, I just know I went to go in early December because of the Weather and Crowd situation. I am looking more at 2026 then 2025, gives me more time to save money.

Also leaked: Comcast's three park ticket plan. An idea where guests have to buy a three park ticket in order to visit Epic. A family of four might have to spend $1000 (plus parking) just to walk into the new park. You know what Comcast fears? The rise of conventional wisdom that says "A visit to Epic Universe is more expensive than a visit to Walt Disney World".

Disney: Let's make 90 percent of our fans unhappy. If our higher prices don't do it, our cutbacks of guest experiences will and take your pick of whatever else they've done to lower guest satisfaction and reduce visitors to the parks. While we're at it, let's kill some popular franchises and make some horrid movies. Universal: Let's hire the best and let them do their thing. It'll be Epic!

The Epic Universe park itself is roughly 100 acres. Not all of the 750 original acres was being used for the park itself

This is quite old news now. I first heard of this interview about a fortnight ago now. Got enticement going when I saw your title😅. Far from official or specific. He's just doing a podcast for one of his old buddies, saying whatever he likes cos it's not an official release.

… which I also said in the video. It’s also not “old news” as the video is a few weeks old but it’s the head of creative for the park, I doubt he’s going out here just lying about opening timelines

@capthemagic hey man I get it, seeing the interview gets the juices flowing, hell yeah! 😍🎢 and the sooner it opens, the better. That being said, it really is old news in terms of epic universe updates, buddy. There is a mountain of videos already on youtube quoting this very interview. Most have been out from the day it was done. Epic updates aren't really updated if it's been in the public domain for 3 weeks or more dude. Also, I don't think he's lying about anything, but he also isn't officially stating anything. This is a very loose statement made to a friend and should be read into very, very little. He may be a top dog. Nevertheless, this is far and beyond something to take as gospel. We certainly don't "seem to have an answer to it" and I would say in the context of the interview, it is closer to a rumour than actual fact, regardless of the source being "creative director " he isn't in an official capacity or making an official statement of any kind, I wish it was more concrete than that myself but I don't see it that way. All that said I have my fingers crossed for a march opening 🤞🤣🎢
