I know Warm Audio is like a budget route that no major studio will use for whatever reason, but if I have to be unbiased, this has to be one of the best vocal chain for your voice. Better than your U87 AI and 5211 and LA610. But I do understand, if i had an award winning studio, I would want to own the original even if they both sound exactly the same. It's irrational but that's just the way life is. If a Rolex and a copy of Rolex have the exact same build, quality and timekeeping. I would still want to own an authentic Rolex.

I have a sony c800g, and trust me, the wa251 sounds good! It is thin compared to the c800g, but I think that it can compete, best warm audio mic

The warm audio cx12 is there best mic its a sleeper but it sounds better then the original in my opinion give it a listen and let me know what you think

I was wondering when you were going to get to warm audio. I have the WA 73 and the WA8000 modified by Erickson Labs. I love it for rap vocals. Also have Avalon V7 and Lewitt LCT 840 for a silkier r&b type sound.

I'm dropping 4 this week! Nice. That sounds like a great modification for sure. I've heard great things about the Lewitt LCT 840. How is the detail capturing with the Lewitt from your perspective? Thanks Jermaine!

@@archiebeatz I love the Lewitt It's very warm sounding but the low mids are very tight and focused. I think it's a little too silky and smooth for rap vocals for my taste tho. You don't have to do much eqing but it takes eq well. The WA8000 is super clear and bright like the original but without the mod The body just isn't there. Erickson labs also does a mod for the 251 but It's seems damn good already... Nice vid tho man look forward to the next ones 👌👌

Thanks for review! In your personal opinion would you pick up WA 251 or Sony c-80 (I\d like to achieve this airy bright sound that c800g provides) or Avantone cv12 BLA will be a better option?

You are welcome and thank you for dropping a comment. Honestly, they are definitely different responding and sounding microphones. The WA-251 has great lows, mids and airy feel while the C-80 has great mids and lows response. I'm actually working on getting my hands on the c8000g and Cv12 and I can give you a better answer with those. I hope this helps.

WA 251 for sure. I had bought the Lauten LA320 and was sooooooo sibilant. The s sounds were way too sharp. Sent it back after 3 weeks. Just got the WA 251 and it sooo silky and warm. Way better. The 320 felt cheap. The 251 feels heavier and more professional.

I bought the wa2a 2 years ago because I wanted to sell my la2a but it doesnt even compete, the wa2a can do the job, but the wa2a is not as creamy and heavy, it doesnt have the warm analog colour, it’s pretty transparent. Good comp for this price tag btw, you can buy it, but do not expect it to sound like an la2a
