I always start with the interior. My reasoning being when you wash the outside first the ground around the car is wet so your shoes get wet then if you do the interior you end up with your wet shoes on the carpets etc, or have to try cleaning with your feet hanging out the door which isn't the easiest. Just my way of doing it 👍

I'd do the outside first most the time... Where i first worked to start a lot of the customers cars would be parked on a dirt area... The water would wash dirt off my shoes, then when i do the interior i would be able to vacuum up any dirt/water... Pro tip, have a wet & dry vacuum if you can

Hey Bud a nice quick informative vlog for beginners, I normally wash exterior first prevents rubbing of dirt bringing more into the car when doing interior but saying that I leave giving car a detailing spray til last as when your doing interior of car you can and most likely will touch off some panels with hands or brushes for example...

Your channel is the best by far, I love your humour which always raises a smile even on my darkest days. My wife is African American & when we go out to dinner or parties she likes to wear her hair like Marge Simpson. When she moves around the top of her hair rubs on the roof and her hair sheen and gel sometimes rubs off. I use a pinch or a splash of laundry detergent in warm water and a clean rug or soft brush, if necessary. Works awesome!

In general for cleaning fold your wash cloth into quarters and in half again as you dirty it unfold and re fold each clean section outwards then you have 8 equal clean sections to work with. Sometimes you need a thin code for a car but it will work for more than half of the cleaning.

Another great video again Dave. I've detailed a few cars now, and I feel like I'm struggling with the interiors, I did exactly as you have, but the door cards look the same after I've cleaned them, there's scuffs and marks that I just cannot shift

i start exterior fist then in. a £20 B&M handheld steamer can do wonderful things inside the car and the house, if your on a budget. A dupray neat, if your a bit flush, would be my choice for UK peeps. Less is more when it comes to headliner, but dont unless you have to I would say, and no steam!. A brush selection will change your life :o

Great video! I normally do the outside first then the inside! I haven't got any of the poundland brushes yet, so I just use my wheel detail brush to clean the peddles.

Thanks Dave. really good tips there. I do like the Yum Interior. Also use Surfex by Bilt Hamber too. Thanks for the order of clean as I don't do it this way. I will do the boot first next time. Are you going to do that video of the tanks?

Thought provoking Dave .... must get 'some of that yum' that you keep referring to also. I do exterior first BTW, but do the rear, middle, front fragmentation thing like you. The power drill referencing has got my mind working overtime as well (I am thinking your version of Christian Bale in 'American Psycho' on a car or similar .....) Imagine re shooting the films business card 'one up man ship' scene but with power washers and in a valeting context ..... LOL

lol Christian Bale. I need to be creative with that video... Majority agree with you on exterior first mate. Yeah Yum interior is brilliant, works as a safe leather cleaner, trim cleaner and fabric. Its unbelievable

loving these videos, so firstly exterior first as it’s weather dependent. I can do the interior in the garage. Question on yum interior, does it leave a matt finish ?
@epicautomotivedetailing

It's not like an interior detailer so best way to describe it is a matte clean finish. No dressing as such
