Welcome back to Epicly Later’d… sorry its been so long. For the first episode of Season 7 we have a Kevin ‘Spanky’ Long episode update redux. I say that because Spanky already had a few episodes in the early years of the show. But we thought his story needed an update.
We started this episode not long after Kevin got kicked off Baker and Emerica and we filmed an interview every 6 months or so until recently. That’s why his hair keeps changing lengths throughout the show. He got kicked off sponsors for drinking and partyin’ and basically not skating all that much... he also got set on fire, his wife bailed, his mom died… a series of bad events. But through it he thought ‘i’m not done yet.’ He didn’t let it beat him and got back on the board.
Kevin is very inspiring to me and his attitude towards skateboarding refreshing. In my interviews for the episode, Atiba, Jerry, and Neck Face all referred to Spanky as their best friend, and I would also like to think of him as my best friend too. So this piece is special to me, and I hope that comes through. Hope you enjoy it.

Baker team particularly. It's an echo chamber. Similar people group together and whatever shit they doin' gets pushed further and further

I'm not sure 'ruined' is the correct word here. Baker was like a group full of people living and partying like rockstars, it has never been only about the skating, but the lifestyle. They went through it and grew out of it, but that previous period also had to be there.

Thatsamerican It's Location Filtering. You can only fix it by moving to another country. VICE is blocking most videos from being viewed in the USA. I wish they would just TELL US why! I know this is true, 'cause when I proxy my connection through Canada, I can watch the vids just fine.

+Zerkbern well, I know that Shane Smith, the main guy of VICE is Canadian, so they definitely would allow their content to be shown in Canada. That's weird how they aren't showing it in the States though. I wonder if they are choosing not to for a specific (most likely childish reason) or if they are being blocked by some other source (which doesn't seem possible because there is no FCC for the Internet).

As soon as I saw this I thought it was the old one just re-uploaded. Thank you so much for this. Even though I've read tons of stuff about Spanky's falling out of skateboarding where he was kicked off of Baker this is still insane. One of the best dudes you could ever possibly get for an epically later'd. The only other person that comes close that I'd like to see would be suciu. Oh and add T-Funk. Kid looks like he is 8 and yet he skates like a grown ass man.

I remember seeing Baker 3 when it premiered, i was so young.. Sad to see how the fame gets to people, Alcohol almost ruined my life, crazy how that stuff is "Legal" but it can kill u and totally ruin ur life..

@@clitcommander6603 street skating has no barriers to entry whereas pro vert skaters most likely on average had wealthier childhoods, having had ramps in their backyards and such to get lots of practice hours in. so it's biased

I know it's a revisit of an older episode, Kevin is dope but seriously you kind find anyone new ? I love epicly later'd but It feels like I already know what this episode is about from watching the older one. I was anticipating a brand new episode. But this is just a revisit. It's cool an all just not what I expected.
