Great video, thanks. I have also Alano from Vengo Alano, and I can confirm that he has his temperament as described at the video. Alanos were bred for special kind of hunting, they should catch the prey and wait for a hunter. However, this kind of hunting is forbidden in most European countries. Maybe coursing, bikejoring, sport type protection work and tracking are the activities, that are close to the original utility of the alano. They can use their prey drive and speed in coursing, and their catching ability in sport oriented protection work (in sport oriented protection they are more driven for the sleeve, not so much against a human). Tracking is close to the original purpose as well.

I'm hoping to raise some large iron age pigs cross boar and will definitely b getting two of these dogs to use helping me move the boar from fields and to protect me in the pen's etc. There amazing working dog's!
