You ladies are amazing!! All that it took to ship your bikes and fly out to WA! Then assembling your bikes and the rain, but you just kept at it! Your legs should get stronger with time. I biked across Wisconsin, my home state, 400+ miles in 6 days. I trained up for 5 weeks before hand which was helpful, and I was with a cycling group. Your bike trail was so nice, with quaint wooden bridges and lovely wooded sections. Take your time and enjoy. This is a great adventure that you're on. Will look forward to your next video. This is so exciting!

@jasonbean48952 жыл бұрын
in my experience, the first two weeks on a long bike tour are the hardest. it gets easier from there... you get stronger and your body accepts and adapts to the hardships of riding all day. So stoked for you! Enjoy the adventure, as I know you will!!!

Worse rain and cold in years. Too bad you couldn't take PT Townsend ferry. And for sure that road up off 101 to PT has no buffer zone what so ever. Every once in a while an electric back up sounds good. Is that cheating? Congrats on every accomplishment! Looking forward to following your trip. I have hurt the back of my knee recently and can not even pedal my exercise bike. People like you make my day, so pedal on and THXS so much.

1998, when I was 58 years old and my friend was 49, we flew from Seattle to Portland, Maine, dipped our bikes in the ocean and rode back to Anacortes, Washington. Took us two months to the day and we rode 3600 miles. I wrote and self-published a small book called Grandmas Across America. We had our bikes loaded with camping gear too, and when I got home and took the panniers off I felt like I was riding a bucking bronco it was so lightweight.
