tin whistles are not super difficult to make 🤔 kinda lame to have put all that effort into something so beautiful but not bother to make a functioning instrument 😔 the batteries are just an insult

A whistle that cannot be played? What could be more pointless? One would do better to purchase a quality penny whistle and add a tassle.

I’m guessing it had something to do with the licensing of the replica, but just a guess…

There is a playable replica on Etsy. I don't know how good it is for $69 bucks though.

The "Ressikan Flute" is just a slightly cosmetically altered Irish tin whistle. The fact it's 1) not playable, and 2) not screen accurate (being a mashup of different TV versions) makes it basically worthless. I don’t know for certain, but I do know that licenses have various limitations, so it could be possible that their license doesn’t permit them to make a playable replica. 🤷♂️
