In the 14th episode, I'll give you my opinion on some gear to avoid purchasing in hopes to same some money, and some gear to invest in that should bring more value to your work. That's what it's all about right! What will bring more value to your photography game.
This is coming to you as a portrait photographer...just keep that in mind!

Great advise, I wished I had bought 1.2-1.4 lenses instead of 1.8. I also bought some cheap stands from amazon and now I'm looking to replace them. So much money wasted. :(

I did the same thing. I think most of us do. Hopefully this gets to someone before that point.

My first lense was the 50 1.4 for $200. I got my camera with the Nikon kit lense and a tamron 70-300 and yeah both garbage lenses. The tamron is only good with really good light at a small range of focal length. Looking at the 85mm 1.8 right now

Depending on the 85 1.8 price and your budget…consider the sigma art 85 1.4. It’s incredible!
