the licence to grow in the UK is too expensive Even US giants like cookies wouldn't touch it. So much red tape and rubber stamps to deal with. Its easier to marry a Thai woman and grow under their relaxed T&C

the right to grow medicinal reached 10,000 for the first stage of Petition. But from a rec point of view, we should adopt a policy similar to minnisota. "Everyone" is allowed to grow 8 plants with 4 in flower, Homegrown could solve a lot of shortfalls in supply As well as the natural trickle effect of boosting the economy in all sectors

@@chrissmith5148 Is that typical for medical use or perhaps exceptional due to requiring certain plant extracts? If you were allowed to grow your own eg 4 flowering plants how much would that equate to?

@Beesa10 you would need to harvest at least 2 good plants a week to get an oz a week. This means you need to grow at least 20 plants at a time.

Big pharma profit is what is holding it all back, they have known about the benefit's of cannabis since 1974.

Correction 'they' have known about the benefits of cannabis for 3,000 years at least. My great grandmother was prescribed it in the 1920s. Cannabis was made illegal in Europe after it was banned in the USA in the 1950s, under pressure from the pharmaceutical, tobacco, and alcohol lobbies. Who's racist propaganda associated cannabis use with minorities like negros and Mexicans, who afrte imbibing would commit crimes against Americans of European decent ie white people.

Seems the way. I think there are a few that will let you apply if you've tried 1 medication on the NHS for a condition that's on their list.
