You did this 10 years ago and I'm using this video today as reference for my 63 Biscayne project. Your video is a gift that keeps on giving.

Nice work Henry. Always enjoy your videos. Lots of prep and patience to get that quarter fitting right before you started welding. That is a huge quarter, looking forward to seeing you skim and level it! Thanks, Gary

Looks very nice bro I made the bad mistake of ordering the same kind of quarter panels for some reason the spot for the gas lid doesn't line up I'm not sure if it was bad design or what

Project looks great. I was wondering what kind of welder and wire you use to weld this quarter panel?

Does anybody know what kind of cordless tool I should buy to cut quarter panels from a vehicle in the junk yard?
@sanchtech12 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you can line it up by looking at where it was lined up before. I wouldn't think it has to be exact.

In my opinion the top flanges should have been designed to fit under the top car skin .but you know what they say about opinions.

What are you doing when your tapping with your hammer?
@McElhinney659 жыл бұрын
He's dressing the flange down. Between the self tapping screws the panels can separate a little making them more difficult to weld. He tapped the flange down to meet the panel below making them easier to weld.
@richardcasey75216 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I would want the bare metal inner surfaces to be coated with a rust preventive material.
