this is the best episode on the entire serie and it looks like yoU didn't notice that the entire episode has only 2 or 3 cUts, so it has 20 min long shots, and that is so impressive.

I’m not sure if you noticed but this episode was shot in 5 extremely long one-take shots. The first scene starts and lasts 14 minutes and 19 seconds with no cuts or edits. The exchanging of kids/adults, and swap of Nell and Little Nell in the Casket were all done live. They built the sets back to back so Hugh could walk into Hill House from the Funeral Home. The next scene then begins in Hill House and lasts 7 minutes and 25 seconds. The camera and lighting crew practiced beauty lighting placement and camera rigging for this scene for 3 weeks. The 3rd scene was the most difficult for them to film, it was back in the funeral home and was 17 minutes and 19 seconds long. It began with a conversation and included childhood memories, and a huge family fight. The script is 18 pages long, and is so well written. The 4th scene was 6 minutes and 13 seconds long and was back in Hill House, they were upstairs looking for Nell. This is when the boy in the wheelchair is seen and when they “teleport” mom around the house. They had 4 body doubles for her. If you look at things like the statues in the hallway- they even changed positions, they had a team of people that would run out and grab the statue and another team with a replacement behind them. The final long-cut scene, where Steve yells and Nell falls was 5:31 and the easiest to shoot. The music then begins, and the tiny cut scenes enter during the closing song to complete the episode.

Note how the dad said mom, Nell and Luke could see things at the house. The mom also said she saw things (ghosts). And, Steve, Mr Denier, sees ghosts all the time.
