Athena Papadopoulou Well, there's a documentary of the show that will be on PBS this fall (I think they said oct/nov but I'm not positive) and it may use some clips of the footage they shot, but it could be a long time before they release the full show. Lin said he spent 7 years on this and because of that he wants as many people to be able to experience it live as possible before releasing the live recording of it. He said that seeing it live is a completely different experience because things on stage that were made for a stage don't transfer to film very well.

I am honestly so sad they are leaving I can not imagine another person in those rolls. I'm sure the new cast members are just as amazing in their own way. I don't know why this play is so different that it matters so much to me. I've seen Phantom of the Opera three times with different casts and loved them all without care. This is sooo different. I'm glad a lot of the cast is sticking around though!
