if you’re printing from your phone make sure you press letter sized paper from your phone and not the 4 by 6 it’s easy to miss (unless you’re trying to print on a different size)

Well I messed up. Do not push the photo paper tray past this point. I pushed it passed this point. Pulled it back out, printer seems ok. So far so good. Btw I accomplished this feat on unboxing the printer. Good video. 👍👍👍

So I just got the Epson XP-6100 as a gift and usually, I can figure out the printers no problem. SO you have to have paper in both cassettes just to be able to print?? I just want to print 8.5x11 for photos.

Cassette 2 won´t come out at all.

I'm really stressed! I set the XP-6100 up just fine, loaded the paper just like this video shows, tray 1, pulled it out until it stopped, paper snug against the inside and it keeps telling me to "Extend output tray shown in the illustration until it stops." Well it is pulled out until it stops; if I pull further the tray comes out! I have tried all day to get it to work, watched videos, tried Epson support pages. It is like it is supposed to be! A couple of times it told me to remove anything in front of the tray -- there is NOTHING in front of the tray! Would be so appreciative of help as my old printer was down a long time, and I really need it!

Have searched net inside out & utube no info on loading paper into XP3105 every other model it seems bar this one!

I want to print a 5 x 7 on a 8.5 x 11 paper. When I select the size print i want it keeps telling me to load paper into tray 1 which I don't want to do. How can I buy pass this and just print on a regular size paper? Thanks

i dont know why, but for some reason when I am trying to print a photo from my phone using the glossy paper in the casset 1 tray it wont print for me! It doesnt get jammed but it doesnt go all the way up into the system for the ink to be painted onto it and come out, and when i pull it out, i can see that it was started to be pulled up but only by a few inches. I have taken out the tray 3 times now moving it all the way at the back of tray and making sure its all the back and it still doesnt make its way up into the printer on the roller thingy. I dont know what to do. Can someone help me? Am i doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my printer?

SOLVED ! I found the solution to my own question below (I had to - no one else seems to explain why this happens). It depends on the application/programme/software you are creating/printing the document/picture on ! I was using Open Office and the 6 x 4 design I was using only showed it would print on an A4 sheet (Cassette 2) despite all the settings on the Epson Printer itself showing cassette 1 and paper size/type as correct. On trying to print from Open Office an .odg file, I found I could not select the appropriate paper size (A6 - same size as a 6x4 photo)-there was no option available. SOLVED : - the CRUCIAL thing was that I then EXPORTED THE .ODG file to a .pdf file and went to print, it was then I found I could select the correct paper size on Printer !!- Then when going to print all the options appeared - I chose A6 paper size and the printer automatically printed from Cassette 1. This was on a Mac running High Sierra. Chances are if you can't get your Epson to print to Cassette 1 then it's something to do with the application, the OS, rather than the printer. If all the options under Print Settings are not visible you need to print via an application that produces the full menu when printing-hope that helps.😀

Really difficult for older people like me. What is out of range? Is that what it says? Why is it saying 200 percent I only want the page as it is . Drives me nuts

HOW DO I SELECT CASSETTE 1 ??? IT DEFAULTS TO 2 every time. I changed the settings to establish a photo size but it wont choose cassette 1 and continues to print as if it'a A4 cassette 2.

I've had Epson printers for years. I'm so disappointed in this printer. Very difficult to use and jams. I wish I would have kept my old epson! Epson, you're forcing me to jump ship to another manufacturer.. :-(

The XP-6000 printer sucks. If you want to pay $ 1 per printed page, go ahead. I used little and had to buy new cartridges from Amazon, which were not accepted after the firmware update. I will NEVER buy anything from Epson. My solution was to throw everything in the trash after 2 months of use and have spent 200 dollars!
