Robert would do well in a 'The Girl with All the Gifts' scenario, no idea in a “The Last of Us” scenario though as I have not seen it. It's always important to be calm, collected, assertive and self-assure.

@@Dang3rzon3 Of course, it does nothing to actually refute Dave's argument, that good, evil, sin, there's just the shit that people do. McCall's big point here isn't that they did bad, or that they need to be punished for their sins, it's that they killed his friend and as a result he will kill them. There's nothing moral about any of it, the way he frames it.

It's subtly very clever -- by hitching a ride with the wife and kids (especially by telling her that it was Dave's idea -- something Dave wouldn't be easily able to object to, given how it looks like he's his old superior officer and longtime work buddy to her), it guarantees Dave and the others won't try to kill him while he's leaving.

well it really doesn't for me but he's just right. for robert to be the enlightend good guy in this movie this is an exception childish black/white perspective of war and what he did in the past. not at all fitting a character of his caliber imo. empathie next to the anger towards his old comrades would have been reasonable. the ending should/would be the same but the lines could have been way different, more mature than rather just being badass. further adding: robert did the absolut same the bad guys did but just waving the flag for it and uncle sam saying "you doing ok". its dumb. ALSO and most importantly as they walk up to the car they could have dropped him with a pistol and, put him in the trunk and drove off in like 15 seconds tops and the whole scene with the kids never would have happened and movie was over. yes robert did get what he deserved because thats what you get apperantely. 2nd add cuz im tilting: robert LITERALLY speaking of doing the right thing, hiding himself behind a civillan woman and two children who would be in the line of fire. robert is a selfish, hypocritical piece of shit :D movie ruined for me :D

@@AmonAboooat "robert LITERALLY speaking of doing the right thing, hiding himself behind a civillan woman and two children who would be in the line of fire. robert is a selfish, hypocritical piece of shit" He didn't hide behind them. He was at a severe disadvantage. His old pal knew he wouldn't hurt his family. It was just a way out of the situation, so he could prepare. @hotboxyay9029 9 ай бұрын
@@AmonAboooat The only thing that made me think this was a troll comment was the part about killing Robert and putting him in the trunk. There’s still a possibility of other neighbors coming outside randomly, a car passing by or deciding to enter the neighborhood. Not to mention, there’s a still a slim chance the wife and kids come out earlier than expected and see their father and his work buddies murder someone he just called a friend in cold blood. It just seems rather risky and impulsive. The line of fire thing was kind of weird to me as well. I could understand if they were in an active shootout then that would be a completely cowardly move. But notice Robert only turned his back when he had the child in his hands. He pretty much guaranteed they wouldn’t try anything in front of his family, especially not with Dave’s daughter in his arms, so they have no choice but to remain cool.

Man Denzel can deliver those savage scenes like no one. The restaurant scene in the first equalizer when he confronted Teddy and asked him "what do you see when you look at me". Then the scene in Man on Fire on the roof when he took the shotgun to the kidnapper's brother's hand. He executed that perfectly.

The irony of this scene is, agent Peña dropping truth bombs while being the bad guy who killed the good guy’s ‘agency’ friend. You just follow orders. You tell yourself you’re killing the bad guys, with a conscience hiding the truth deep down the dark alley of your heart. Jokes aside, Denzel Washington is an absolute legend of an actor.

Fingerprints don't show up on skin. Fingerprints are just the oil from fingers left on surfaces. Since human skin is all covered in oil, it just blends in.

@@pasta_code give him some credit. he's a pro. he would certainly have taken that into account and wiped it away had he left fingerprints in her blood.

@@pasta_code i would imagine the water in blood is what makes it transferrable, like ink, so wet blood on skin would be more likely to smear than transfer a fingerprint

This is actually the prequel to the Mandalorian, Pedro survived against Denzel. But he doesn't want Denzel to know he survived and get hunted again, so he used the helmet to hide his face and leave earth to become a bounty hunter...

I like characters like Robert, John Wick, or Reacher - they know they are on another level from their adversaries and are straightforward about their plans. And you can't even say they are cocky or overconfident, those are just facts
