I mean this is still one of my favourite movies of all time however this scene always made me roll my eyes a little. Like I get he is insane with guns and combat but they were all in a straight corridor hallway, no way those movements would have save him in real life. I just wish they had coreographed some more realistic behind cover and maybe once in a while when he gets flanked or surrounded use that Gung-fu. Also I wanted a more epic sword fight, kind of funny how his nemesis was super confident and got cut down so fast. I wanted to see him use katana more but the last scene when they do their gun dance thing again most was cool until they start spinning around lol dancing but it is still a cool premise, or idea on gun combat.

If you are one of the 10 sentries at the back of the room, it is impossible to miss him, so in the first 10 seconds he is busy with the 10 firsts, he would get a hundred bulkets, those missing not included. Matrix did it slightly better because of the presence of pillars. Seems cool anyway

I get your point! According to the logic of the movie the practicioners of "Gun Kata" move so incredibly fast that they are impossible to hit. This is explained at the very beginning of the film. That's one of the reasons the Clerics are so feared among the resistance. For the audience everything is "slowed down" just like in Matrix (where it suggests that Neo and Trinity are speeding through the hallway with manipulation of the Matrix code).
@JarrodFrates
@JarrodFrates 3 ай бұрын
@@NathanieI87 It's not that they move fast, but that they place themselves in the statistically least likely positions for their adversaries to shoot. The thing is you can have something completely stupid in a film, let's say eating cheese can cure disease.As long as the film sticks to it's rules, it's works. They even kind of gloat a little bit afterward when they ask him the question after hooking him up to a polygraph, "What's the best way to get a weapon away from a Gramaton Cleric? You ask him for it." Besides that, it's kind of implied that Preston is somewhat special even for a Gramaton Cleric.
