Harmony Horsemanship & Lindsey Partridge
Lindsey Partridge is a global leader in equine relationships that professional & Olympic riders trust.
Founded by Lindsey Partridge in fall of 2015, Harmony Horsemanship combines years of studying with top professionals, reviewing evidence based training methods, as well as Lindsey’s decades of personal experience.
Tested upon thousands of horses & humans including wild mustangs, “problem horses”, & former race horses.
Developed with a desire to take away the notion that adding more pressure to get what you want is the best way to teach horses. Instead Harmony Horsemanship uses fewer tools, passive leadership, and promotes learning to understand yourself, your horse and the language that connects you.
We inspire you to do more with less.

I appreciate you showing the not-great moments with Ely, some horses can just be prone to meltdowns and it helps to see how people work through them. Horses are all unique like people, that is just your horse's temperament and it reflects well on your training that you do manage to get her to do as you ask 99% of the time

Best of luck at the show...can't wait for the update. Elysia seems like she is a very interesting horse to own with her own personality! Keep you guessing. Good luck to you and your group.

Maybe not every horse is great for competitions and shows and whatnot. Maybe Elysia is just a very sensitive being that wants to stay at home, a place she knows and feels secure at. Maybe she's just not into being brought to all these different places, long car rides and nerve wrecking shows. Many horses may be ok with a life like that, but I don't feel like Elysia enjoys those events too much. I mean, she's trained well and you did a fantastic job with her so far, but does a horse really have to be okay with EVERYTHING? I get that horses have to do what their human says, they have to do their "job" and be obedient, even if the situation may be unpleasant for them. But I think everyone who lives with animals knows, that they are individuals, have their own characters and preferences. So I don't think, an "introverted" or very sensitive horse belongs on too many shows. Maybe go once a year - okay, why not - but not one after another, and another, ... I know horses that seem to enjoy getting around, they like all those new impressions they experience on shows and events and they get bored easily. Elysia doesn't seem to be one of these horses, but what do I know...

I understand what you're saying. And I'm sure most horses would prefer a life where they get to just live in the paddock. My goal is to help her build confidence. I am definitely the type of person that if my kid is going to be scared of public speaking I am going to support them and push them a little bit each time until they feel comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. It is very similar with my horses. It is very easy in this world to crawl up into a small space and not see the world. But it is also possible to slowly build your confidence and then enjoy everything the world has to offer.

Thank you for taking time to answer and you are right with what you're saying. I still think there are different types of personalities in people and animals that fit to different ways of solutions for getting over challenges of their lives. I love your way of working with horses, I love your videos and I admire how much you are traveling and working hard.
