That's why they get to be the protagonist. A pain-immune lunatic is what the messed up settings of the games need to set things right, though Far Cry seems a bit too obsessed with their But Thou Must plot points to exploit this. Really takes you out of the immersion when you could be mowing down enemies with your Buzzsaw and then you get knocked out by some random puke's rifle butt because the story needs you to get knocked out by that rifle butt.

My favourite animation from farcry 3 is where the thumb bends the wrong way and you snap it back. I think its overrated in some places, but it serves a good purpose. It plays off the idea of how slaughtering constantly would affect someones mental health (well duh.)

Maybe do Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth. It had a pretty in-depth healing system for its time. Medkits have a bunch of different components for treating different types of injuries like bleeding, burns, broken bones...

I had seen a video of someone who did got shot and left the bullet in, which the body had eventually pushed it out from the internals to the skin surface. Which it can be incredible for the human body move bullets out of the body. Although it was a very slow process.

The first gory game I ever played was Gears of War 2. There was a level where you get eaten by a massive Sandworm, and when you get to the heart, you have to use the Chainsaw Rifle to cut the ventricles of the heart before the chamber fills up with blood. I was probably 11 or 12 and it was amazing.

@DoctorER The reason why the syringe is so big, is that your character is in a rebelion, and all of their items are from scrap and items that are descarded, so when they're making things such as weapons or medical supplies, its all made by hand of simple people, there's no actual professional in it

Bingeing on videos. Love medical programs of all kinds. Knew someone who got shot. The bullet is lodged in the middle of L5. It's still there and the bone knitted around it. Said if they removed it, could potentially paralyze them from the waist down.
