The last one, Tyson Kidd's injury was actually a MIRACLE. In an interview, Tyson said that the doctor told him that he should have suffocated to death on impact, and that most people that survived that injury, are quadriplegic. Tyson, is not only alive, but he is still walking.

Mick Foley never got that part of his right ear reattached after that match with Vader. In his first autobiography, he said it was because he didn't know the German word for formaldehyde. Funnily enough, he loves flaunting his missing ear. He actually got his head caught between the ropes in a hangman spot and in the process of pulling his head out, he tore his ear where it was just barely dangling and the punch by Vader is what tore it free.

How Mick Foley’s ear get ripped off was that he was performing a move on the ropes, and then his head got tangled in between the ropes and he had to get his head removed from the tangled ropes and that’s the first thing that ripped his ear.

Big E today is walking and, in his own words, living a normal life but so far he's not back at wrestling. However, he's also not closed that door. So, like a few other wrestlers with broken necks, he might not yet be at the end of his in-ring carreer. However, he's taking it slowly and focusing on being alive and healthy, not rushing anything and I think he's also stated that, if he never wrestles again, that's fine by him. I personally think that is, in all, a very healthy attitude. I think a big part of wrestlers surviving and at times (almost) fully recovering from neck and spine fractures is the fact that for their job, they need crazy core strength. That musculature helps stabilise the fracture. There also was a German football (soccer, for ye Americans) goalkeeper who once broke his neck during a game, finished the game and only then got medical attention, and that ended up (mostly) fine as well. Therefore, when you're working out: Don't skip on those core strength exercises. They might save your life one day. Or keep very painful and dangerous injuries much more bearable. It can also help dealing with slipped discs and the likes.

Tj took a nasty injury as he injured a very high spot. Just an inch up he would be dead, an inch down he would be a quadriplegic. He was lucky. The injury took the better part of a straight year to heal and he was in a halo for three months. He’s walking around and working but not in the ring as can no longer wrestle at all as his body cannot ever take a fall again. Instead he works backstage as an assistant head producer on the smackdown brand. He occasionally teaches up and coming talent but doesn’t actually fall down instead he shows how the hold works and asks his wife to demo them and get a sense of how the person works. Tj is married to fellow superstar Natalya.

7:50 okay lemme describe the pain I've felt sure I may be overweight and bad conditioning but what I sometimes I experience is when walking up hills or up roads imagine a rope or a chain that's connected to lower back right where I guess a tail of an animal supposed to be ... and as I am walking up I try to stabelize myself so I can walk comfortable enough to breath without getting winded or fatigue ... but if it's quite windy outside I get gassed to where I can't take a new breath getting gassed and feeling a tug/ an annoying pull on by imaginary string / chain which is connected on spine of lower back just pulling after each step I take, I also when trying to run from A to B in fastest time I sometimes feel a huge tug on my calf, once at 16 years old I end up faceplanted cause of it happening cramping in pain ... feeling like the cramping was like strings pulling / stretching ... I never gotten things checked cause my parents growing up never took my words serious or they were only blaming it of me being overweight ... but back then I was not overweight I just tried to run and some pop and face planted trying to take another step running ( I almost had to literally "army crawl" back home on the ground or find a way to sit to calm down and wait for the cramping to ease off a bit before slowly walking back home question I wondered was ... what injuries may I have suffered ? by my explanation ( sorry if I have a few words misspelled .. English not my first language )

My great great grandma got her first TV, and she thought the wrestler were out for blood! Oh, my mom has so many stories about her, yelling at the TV wrestlers saying "Kill him! Kill him!" ! (didn't get to meet her, but I wish I could have!)

Both Big E and Tyson Kidd are still able to walk despite those gnarly injuries. Unfortunately for Big E the recovery of one of his vertebrae didn't go as it should iirc but he's doing fine. Just his return to the ring is still uncertain. Tyson though works behind the scenes now and does some light training again?

Cody tore his pec training, despite that he did the match anyway. When Mark Henry put Jerry Lawler through that table, the table was supposed to be rigged so it would break easier, someone messed up. Mark was furious. Can you imagine having a pissed off 400 pound world's strongest man pissed off at you? 😮 Mick Foley lost his ear via a stunt gone wrong, he did a hangman which is where a wrestler flips over the top rope but gets his neck caught between the ropes. Someone over tightened the ropes that day so when he freed himself his ear got caught and got ripped off. He finished the match. He could have gone to the hospital to get it reattached but imstead he chose not to and worked a 2nd match that night. The saddest part about Joey Mercury's ladder injury: he was a recovering addict. The pain he experienced lead to him relapsing. Wwe offered to pay for him to go to rehab but he refused so they fired him. He did eventually get help and stayed clean.
