I just recently listened to his autobiography on Spotify. What a great life story. It is endlessly entertaining. I tweeted to him that I was, in a good way, jealous of his life. He answered back, I don't recall what he said exactly. If I was God, I'd let the Pythons live and be young as long as they wanted.

I always regarded Monty Pythion and the Beatles as equivalents in different performing arts, particularly from the vantage point of my being in the United States.

If you don't get Python's brand of humour, you probably won't get Douglas Adams either. After all, he did some writing for Monty Python before writing and editing scripts for Doctor Who. And those two influences, of course, gave birth to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" So remember -- keep your towel with you and DON'T PANIC!

I've been a Python fan since age 9 with my first viewing of the Spanish Inquisition (which I did not expect). And coincidentally, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is my favorite trilogy in the entire Universe - all 5 books. Second only to "Who Is This God Person Anyway?" I've no lack of dryness.
