George really brought out the best in people and still does. The world was blessed with his presence during his time on this earth, and his music will live on forever.

Its alright, lots of us Americans can still trace our heritage back to there, in my case, 1066. Your royals are my distant cousins thru the Twdyrs.

Actually, the house George died in was a house frequently rented by Paul when he was in LA. Paul arranged for the house to be available for George. George went to LA for last ditch medical treatments at UCLA. He was hoping to get strong enough to travel to Hawaii so he could spend his last days in the beachfront house he owned there. But sadly, he didn't.

Yes, but your version is less funny.

No Ken, Paul didn't arrange for the house to be available for George. I don't know how to say in English but that house was already for Paul when suggested George to move to spend his last days there. In my language we say Arrendar. It is similar to rent. It belonged to Courtney Love of all people. Paul went to visit George and then he knew he had not permition to travel. He could die in the plane. But he didn't want to die in the hospital. So Paul offered his house. We can say it was his because he had sort of rented it.

George adored Eric Idle

Sometimes it easily escapes everyone’s mind that Paul and George were school mates long before Paul met John. They were simply childhood friends before they all became international superstars. So for all the attention they get as legends, superstars, icons, etc, when George died, first and foremost, Paul lost a lifelong friend and childhood buddy. :(

@SgtPepper303 Yep. at the concert for George, Paul McCartney said that Olivia remarked "It looks like all the other musicians got old, but George stayed the same"...in reference to Dhani's resemblance while he playing on stage

I love this, though I think the idea of a star on Hollywood is very much not like George. It's good to see a tribute to him though!

Well, don't forget that George worked in the movies field as well, so not that distant, in the end

May one day you forgive yourself for those words. I am sure George does because of his beautiful soul and love for Olivia and Dhanni. And also to help save your soul too.

Geez, give me a break! WTF is there some kind of TEST in your mind? Respect is due. She meant a great deal to her husband, and he meant a great deal to me, and many people, and that's enough for us.

One other thing. One of the qualities that everyone who knew George talked about, was his ability to surround himself with very high caliber humans. You may not agree with that, that's okay, but the rest of Georges fans do understand. Also, if your hero is Che Guevara, I think you have troubles enough of your own w/o worrying about millionaires from England.

Yeah, I had a very good friend who was truly disappointed that the Soviet Union fell in 1989. We sat in his music shop and tried to come up with some way to make it more palatable to the current culture. He said, "I can see it now, a neon hammer and sickle, t-shirts with sayings like, "my ancestors practiced capitalism and all I got was this lousy t-shirt'. We had different views but we still really respected each other.
