i like how well rounded Koston is. He's got the flatground and he can do the wallies and slappys and no comply's like the best of them. And he's got everything else too like pressure flips/old school tricks, all the grinds, stairs, mannys, handrails, transition... U gotta be well rounded to be considered the goat.

EK part in Menikmati changed my life. I remember I had this girl board with Astroboy on it back then and I wanted the black and grey Koston 1s but my hommie Peter had them in a few colors and I didn’t wanna be a jocker. He also ripped them pretty quickly so I ended up getting the black and gum Reynolds 1s instead. Such great memories. I first saw Menikmati on vhs when I was like 11. I remember I bought it from hot rod cuz I had a friend who I used to skate with who lived by there. Growing up in Echo Park then was a diffenent world there were no skate parks frog town didn’t even have one but the rite aid ledge stayed waxed and there was a nice waxed curb in front of the Elysian Valley aka Frogtown gym.I was fortunate that I went to school in Santa Monica where they had the boys and girls club skate park. It wasn’t much but I know a lot of skaters who started there in that awkwardly set up park. I know e’s and a bunch of companies donated ramps there which I will be forever grateful for. Echo park wasn’t as known back then as it is now I remember I went to middle school and high school in Santa Monica and would tell people I lived in echo park x Silverlake and they were like where is that the valley, lol smh. Now it’s what I call transplant city which bugs the ufck out of me. Fuck Gentrification and thank you to all the og skaters who I grew up watching skate RIP Keenan Milton.
