Just discovered these two fingered chords videos after dabbling with guitar on and off (mainly off ) for 40 years. Seems like the way for beginners to start. Gets them playing music virtually straight away and having fun rather than struggling as most do with forming three or four finger chords and moving them from one to the other. Evil ways is one of my favourite songs. If I had learnt to play that in first few weeks of starting playing I would have been fired up to continue.

When I first bought my guitar 20 years ago I was ecstatic to find out there was a guitar teacher in town who graduated Berkeley. Berklee music school is second only to Juilliard. But it's like I always say just because a person can do something really well does it mean they can teach. I was about 40 at the time. I told him I'm not trying to be a professional nor do I want to join a band. I JUST TO HAVE FUN. I told him everything I Love comes from the Blues. I suggested maybe we start by learning a simple 3 chord song. You know something like wild thing. He just didn't get it. I dropped him after 3 sessions. I wish you had been my teacher. That could have been my first lesson too. It's a rare talent you have mr. Blackman to be able to do something extremely well is one thing but to teach is a whole separate art and you are gifted in both. Regards always, Santiago

Love it Eric! Even for those of us who are intermediate or advanced this is a great lesson. What I love is how you got the spirit of the blues. I needed this to get my creative juices flowing again. I know myself, and when I get stuck creatively it's because of over analysis. I think that's why I love the blues so much because so much depth and creativity and beauty can be found in the simplicity
