howards character progression is the best, the scavenger hunt episode is a great example of that.

Glad to see you recognize how Howard has changed. He's really had a slow character arc, and he's still the same character in many regards, but at this point he's really developed as a character. I do think his progression started at episode 2x12, which did a lot explain his behavior, but the change has been slow and gradual, and in a way very natural. Meeting Bernadette is really the best thing that could've happened to him. Just compare this Howard to season 1 Howard.
