Today I Flew Canada's "BEST" Airline Air Canada in order to see how good or bad it really was! Instead of being put on the main airline I was instead flying Air Canada Rouge which is known to be slightly cheaper and worse than the normal Air Canada. According to reviews delays are the most common issue when it comes to Air Canada and after getting to the airport it truly did become a nightmare of delays before finally getting on to the flight.

I flew with Allegiant Airlines from Syracuse NY to FLL over the weekend, and came back yesterday. It’s an extremely low cost carrier, but each time I have flown with them it’s been smooth flying from start to end.

My husband flew from Sydney to Toronto. Delayed 2 hrs out of Sydney. Instead of Vancouver to Sydney he then had to go via Quebec. 5 hrs delay, finally arrived at Toronto after midnight. Returning the same delay issues 3 hrs in Calgary. It was a horrid experience. We will do all we can to avoid them in the future.

During the Spring, I was flying back home on Frontier from Fort Lauderdale. The flight got delayed for 3 hours due to "Mechanical Issues". We were able to get off the plane to get food and drinks, but Frontier never gave us a Voucher or anything, considering the airport shops/restaurants are expensive. In the end, the flight got cancelled and everybody was mad. The next flight home was tomorrow. So, we spent around $500 on a rental car to take a 20-hour drive home. In the end: 25 Hour delay and around 500 dollars spent.

I hate air canada and so dose the rest of my family. I was 1 years old and we were going on a vacation to Canada. On the plane we found out that I had a 102 fever. I started vomiting. They gave us vomit bags, but being 1 I struggled to have the vomit go into the bag. I was shivering and crying a lot and my mom asked for a blanket. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US $16 FOR A BLANKET BECAUSE A 1 YEAR OLD HAD A 102 FEVER AND WAS VOMITING.

I flew AC from Montreal to Milan . It was delayed 90 minutes and after boarding we parked at the gate for another 40 minutes. On the positive side, I had 2 seats to myself and I watched the first 35 minutes of The Birds before takeoff

Yeah I booked a flight for January from Montreal to Orlando, and only found out later this was Rouge, but at least I could chose an emergency exit seat for free, I hope they arent as bad as many people say.

Erik, you should try Jetstar (Qantas low cost airline), it’s actually quite good! I know it’s a while away but it’s surprisingly good. While your at it, you could make a review of a hotel in Singapore called Marina Bay Sands, I stayed in it and it has an infinity pool on the top! (Vid 3 of asking)

I recommend trying level airlines economy plus but the problem is that you’ll have to go to SFO and try flying from SFO to BCN (Barcelona international airport)

we were on a flight from Cayo coco to Toronto with air canada rouge and the plane died after arriving in Cayo coco, no spare parts to fix the computer so we had to wait for them to fly another plane from Toronto down. total delay was 18 hours. We were given 2000$ compensation for myself, my wife and 2 kids so it was worth it to me seeming we only paid 1700$ for our whole week away! So we got a free trip for a delay. Im ok with that! haha.

I was at Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos and I saw the flight tracker and out of the 3 Air Canada Flights 2 of them were delayed! Thankfully I was flying with Delta

Delays are nothing unusual. Just part of travel. Annoying but to be expected sometimes. Lot of moving parts for an airline that delay flights.

I've always had a great experience flying Rouge, at least domestically within Canada. Compared to mainline AC, I do find Rouge plane experience more breakdowns and mechanical failures which result in delays at the airport. The delays I've experienced with Rouge are typically within the 1 - 2 hour mark which isn't exactly terrible. For comparison, I've flown Westjet and have been virtually stranded in Halifax and experienced and a 20 hour delay at Pearson. I'll fly with Rouge any day.

Singapore airlines have the same problem but not really a problem as singapore airlines owns scoot but when you book singapore airlines or in scoot website you normally get your same airlines but sometimes issues

I've never known Air Canada to ever be on time. EVER. And yes i agree it's still our best airline. I'm an Albertan who loathes WJ and its fake smiley service. At least with AC it's realness.. Real tired employees usually just keeping it together... Much like us... ;-)

I can definitely attest to this statement that Air Canada is the best carrier in North America. Even their domestic/transborder Business Class is good. I have not had an opportunity to fly Rouge but, hopefully I will soon in their business class and compare the two

The aircraft conversion to cargo has nothing to to with delays. The old 767s were retired, and were converted to not be brought back from passenger use. The 777-333(ER) went through cargo conversion for a short period of time before being returned back to passenger service.
