He never got hacked. Those were just pop-ups that are common and harmless. Also, he never actually went on the dark web, HOWEVER, he was able to access the deep web by going onto a '.onion' website. The dark web isn't as easy as just downloading Tor and going on '.onion' sites. It's a lot more complicated. This whole video was him going on popular deep web websites. It is still pretty interesting nonetheless.

6:49 he is using social engineering...and trying to find out your location(most probably)....there are 180 million users who watch Netflix...he is assuming that you are one of them...he is asking about the recommendation on Netflix for you...Netflix will recommend you something that is trending in your country...the reason for tracing your location is(maybe) to check whether you are lying or not...or whether he can trust you or not...this trick is called social engineering...

This is pretty much the biggest fear parents have about their kids online. Usually by his age parents probably hope their kids are past the whole trying to make friends in the most dangerous possible way thing, and that’s not even dark web like here. This is actually pretty crazy!
