i absolutely love watching this guy's postgames... it really feels like he wears so much on his sleeve, but still holds back for competitive reasons-- it is just beyond clear that he is absolutely brilliant, but, beyond that, they way he gets his guys to play... incredible. it it were merely about talent, nuggets in 4; but no one actually thinks that, and this guy is at least half the reason why. maximum respect for the best coach in the league.

Jimmy has to check Murray the entire time Murray is on the court. Sure Jimmy may fatigue and only get 20-25, but Jamal can't get 35 a night like did vs Lakers. He's the key to their offense. He struggles, they struggle. But Jokić never struggles so just accept that's he's gonna ball out. Shut down Jamal, win the series.

Nuggets fan. This is right on. Playoff Jamal over playoff Jimmy in this one. When nuggets communicate on d and Jamal getting moving in a flow on offense, the d in is a spin cycle. You saw Jimmy guarding mpj for stretches tonight. Wtf? A stiff breeze could guard mpj in this series.

The problem was Jimmy was dealing with his own physicality with Gordon. Gordon is taller, more athletic, and strong than Jimmy. Coming off that would be also challenging and guarding Murray at the same time.

The Heat is a great team. Today, they were a good team but the other side proved better. Heat lacked the intensity, the fire, the afterburner in Game 3 compared to Game 2. Coach Spo has to figure out the problem and fix it for Game 4. The Heat has to climb to the next level beyond the heights they've reached if they are to beat another great team.

Denver's defense was phenomenal tonight. Looked like how they did in Game 1. A big part of Miami's offense is knocking down those 3s. Denvers guards and forwards did a great job sticking to Miami's shooters. Strus was completely taken out of the game. Dunc didn't get started until late. Then tough shooting nights for Jimmy and Bam. Got completely outshined by Jokic and Murray. Miami can't afford to struggle shooting the ball, they need to be more aggressive like they were in Game 2

Rafael, false. I was at the game. The Heat battled all of it. Malone and staff found new ways offensively to attack, and their team defense was the best so far by them in this series. Clearly the coaches got the Nugget players to dig deeper. Think of it like chess. Now Spo makes adjustments. One brilliant thing Spo did was play his best starting five in the Boston series the last two minutes of the first half. My biggest concern is little we get from the Zeller minutes on offense and defense. Maybe Highsmith, hell even UD since it's only 5-8 minutes a game. Remember the Nuggets size is affecting passes along with creating space to shoot and the reality they are playing better as a unit than the top teams in the east. I still have faith but they have the advantage

I've been saying this for a couple series now. Robinson may be a bit of a liability on defense, but his effort is there and he is clearly a better shooter. His shot just looks so much smoother as a whole. Also, where was Highsmith? He seems to be a momentum swinger and didn't sniff the court. Unfortunate.

You can't match the size of Denver you just can't you don't have height on your team only way to beat them is with the three point shooting that's how Miami won game 2. Lowry earned his minutes tonight he played better than Vincent and you can't just bench Vincent he's too good got in foul trouble early never got into a rhythm. Gotta let it go and move on to the next one even though they lost tonight the series depends on the outcome of next game go down 3-1 back to Denver it's over gotta tie it up play your hearts out it's the finals.

Miami has a lot of unnecessary fowls and they are not aggressive in getting the rebounds . They should go in and try to shoot because if anything the other side more likely will fowl them and they will still have an opportunity to shoot .I believe Miami are still tired from that win and traveling after playing in high altitude. I have confidence they will play better next game 4. Great job coach Spo you never discourage your team with your diction no matter what ,

This was a ridiculous last 3 quarters of game from my Miami Heat. Heat Defense was not bad but it wasn’t great. The reason we lost was not playing physically enough on both end and poor shooting in the paint and the 3 point line. On paper, this was as terrible as it looked. But if half of these get fixed, I think Miami can win.

They were doing what they were doing in Game 2. Nuggets had more composure in not turning the ball over because the defense was predictable - the assists number was high again. If Nuggets didn't have a mismatch in the post, they just penetrated the zone and then passed it for a high percentage shot.

Everyone's fucking Nostradamus until they aren't. Looking closer at the numbers after coming home from the game Denver should have won by 30. 8 more assists, 25 more rebounds, and 11% better fg percentage. Malone and staff challenged the team to play defense and they responded. The intensity for both teams were there. Spo made a brilliant decision using the Starting rotation from the end of the Boston series for the final two minutes of the second half. Where Malone found a checkmate this game was not sitting Joker in the second half. Here's the reality. When both teams are playing peak basketball Denver will be better because size creates space on offense and closes space on defense. Spo has to eliminate the Zeller minutes if the continue to keep Jokic minutes high. An x-factor is if Tyler Herro comes back and if that is net positive or negative. His midrange shot is deadly creating shots and plays for others but of course how quickly can muscle memory come back to game speed.

The Heat shot above 50% from 3 in Game 2, way above their post-season average. That was/is not sustainable over a 7-game series. Still only won by 3 points despite that performance. Their 3 point shooting came down to earth in game 3.

@@israelalarid6247 that's exactly what denver does though. Do you know how many players have come to denver in the last 5 years played great, gone on to get contracts on other teams and then just immediately look like a shell of themselves in denver? Monte Morris, will Barton, Jerami grant, Paul milsap, jamychal green, malik beasley, Torrey Craig, Garry Harris, Austin rivers. These guys all played great and many minutes when they were playing in the denver system and culture. Now half of them barely play 5mins a game. Not to mention players that come to denver and have the best years of their career being part of the nuggets culture, like Aaron Gordon and Bruce Brown. Denver has such a positive culture lead by the most unselfish superstar in the league in Nikolai jokic, that players like Monte Morris still come to game 3 of the finals to support his former team mates. If that doesn't speak volumes to the nuggets culture idk what does

If Bam doesn't learn how to shoot a Bank Shot (like Time Duncan could), Miami has no shot with the Joker clogging up the paint. Bam is intent on shooting from the Free-Throw line an in. He has to develop the Bank Shot to draw the Nugget Defense to the left or the right. Layup's don't count as Bank Shots. Duncan and Ginobili films should be revisited. I have said this since the start of the New York/Miami series. Miami needs to learn Geometry (Advanced) to have any chance against Denver clogging the Paint.

I saw little to no full-court presses transitioning into zone during this game. The full-court pressing from the get-go was what made Game 2 so competitive and what forced Denver out of their element because they didn't have much time to coordinate their offense, in turn compelling Jokic to be the primary scorer. I feel like Spo and the NBA are hiding something. Is this an attempt to extend the series? Miami didn't seem like Miami last night.

I used to play basketball in my younger days and my experience was when shooting close to the rim, banked shots in most times gets the ball in. Aiming directly at the rim at close range requires a perfect aim and pitch which you gain by practice, while a banked shot has a better chance of going in even if you have a less perfect trajectory as this have a chance of the ball trickling or rolling around the rim. Who am I to tell these NBA players who are professionals of this game on this issue, but I am just stating my suggestion for them to consider.

Up to almost half way point Heat held it together. Heat also started coming back in the 4th quarter like they are known to. Nuggets know they have to go into the second half with a lead or they wont win. This game is on the inconsistent playing in the 3rd quarter. Why did he put Zeller in when the dynamic is changing? Makes passing more hesitant for everyone. Not even going to mention the biased officiating.

Miami is a tough team. The are playing a great team. Heat’s toughness, they are always a hair’s breadth from pulling another rabbit out of the hat. Sneakily, they can beat you and even temporarily overpower a great team like Denver. But, Denver, fully knowing the Heat’s ability to catch fire, never let up. They know that they can’t merely keep their foot on the Heat’s throat, they have to choke them until they stop breathing, but still keep their foot on their throat, to prevent resurrection. Spoelstra and Reilly can fight their way out of an alley.
