Unlike any other player ever, my man, after winning his 1st ring and finals MVP, doesn't push to the front row to be the centerfold in the poster, he hangs out in the back with his daughter, lets his team hug the trophy and celebrate, while he hugs his family. The man who understands not only what's important on court, but also in life. The one and only, true MVP!

He reminds me a lot of Tom Brady and how he talks about the game. It’s not about him, it’s about everyone else, getting them involved, and doing whatever it takes to win. Some games, it might be Murray. Others it might be Porter or Gordon. Some games he does have to take over. But if he scores 10 points and 20 assists and they win, then he’s done his job. Just like Brady spreading it around. Some days it was Edelman, others it was Gronk. Some games it was a walk-on receiver. Some games he had to pass it 50 times for 400 yards. And some games they had to run the ball. Didn’t matter. Just win. Who cares how.

Certainly does seem so. Nothing really had to go their way in any series in order to win, they were pretty much just naturally better. Every loss they had this playoffs took some heroic effort from the other team (booker shooting 80% for 50 and 40pts, and heat shooting 90% in the 4th quarter). Every other game was a Nuggets win, and it's tough ask to have 4 heroic games in a series. But that's what it would take to beat this team.

Jokic's style of playing has a background you might be surprised to uncover! We have to trace it all the way back to the 1952 when Harlem Globetrotters played an exhibition game in Yugoslavia. Americans' style of playing had captured the imagination of youth in Yugoslavia that changed the game - from the rigid Soviet style of basketball to creative free-flowing and attractive "American style" - that still stands today!

An MVP every aspiring player should try to follow. Not only the way he plays but more importantly how he CARRIE's himself. He never calls attention to himself, never puts down opposing players. Unlike other superstars who can't stop talking about themselves. Have you noticed most superstars right after winning the championship would jump up and down and go stand on the scorers table to get applauded by the crowd? Most players are really hungry to attention. Jokic not only a great player but a very humble and down to earth person. He even showed how important his family is to him during the interviews by wanting to just go home and be with his family. A true MVP.

❤ What he actually wanted to say, how our parents bring us up, cannot be literally translated, I don't think there are any corresponding synonyms for it in English. Perhaps the most accurate would be- "In victory do not be the master (hegemon), in defeat do not be the servant"
