I love this song and have done some attempts to cover it myself (not as good as this one obviously). But what I missed in this cover is 1. the build-up at beginning, this cover started out too big imo. 2. Those high notes in the end were too raw for me. Based on the rest of the song, Id guess that this man can hit those notes with his head voice.

for people seeing erik for the first time, he's not just some 'young gentleman'. he won swedish idol more than a decade ago and was recently the lead singer for skid row. you have to be absolutely freakishly talented to measure up to sebastian bach, and erik does it easily. i'm not surprised he nailed this song - he is capable of any song he wants.

Amazing cover!!! He was amazing in New Horizon too!! I am also Swedish as Erik is. I have followed him ever since he participated in the Swedish competition "Idol", which he also won in 2009. I met him when he was on the "Idol tour" together with the guy who came second in the competition. Erik was incredibly nice then too 🤘🏻😎❤️🔥

The immense talent it takes to not just hit those notes, but to be able to hold them evenly and then instantly switch to another without taking a breath is phenomenal! I’ve seen many attempts at covering this song. And I’ve seen almost all of them fail. But, Erik is definitely the #2 best person to sing this song,only passed by the Queen Whitney herself!! As a hard rock/metal head myself I’ve always appreciated (and envied if I’m being honest lol) the incredible talent the singers of these bands have! As Erik just showed us, they easily could switch genres and take over if they wanted to! Look at Ronnie Radke as another example of this from Falling in Reverse. Love him or hate him you have to be deaf to deny the sheer talent that man has! To go from rock, to rapping, to freaking opera is insane!! Much Respect Erik for taking on this song and absolutely killing it!! 🤘

Example of perfect pitch and also a perfect voice. His tone is so sick. The raspiness in his voice is so awesome! I thought nobody could sing it better than Dolly. Whitney tried her best but didn't even get close. And now he comes along. And yep, he did it!

Whitney Houston moved me with her rendition of this song like no other singer could. I've heard some pretty good attempts at it by a few "Idol" contestants, but all fall short. I never would have thought a male singer would have come this close. It's not Whitney, but technique and feeling in this performance is the best I've heard since Whitney. Very, very well done.
