I know this is originally a Badfinger song, then later performed by Harry Nilsson and then obviously Mariah Carey. I was inspired by all of these versions when I did my take on it.

he followed the version and style of Mariah's cover just made it rock version... notes have not changed but the singing style has. this song has been covered by so many artists, in their own styles. Like my favorites Mariah's style and Air Supply's style...

You need to hear Harry’s voice. He did NOT wobble the notes like Carey does. Imho, while not expecting agreement, I don’t care for the singer who takes the voice all over the place, and then into the back yard. It ruins the melody of the song.

the first video i watch of this guy, was when he rocked I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU and again this one😎 the soft-yearn range to the belting range of his voice and how he rocked-range the song was outrageous😘. Yeah you are right... however the original was made by badfinger. I wrote Mariah because I was inspired by her version vocally.

Oh groovy. Not many people know about badfinger’s original. Nilsson’s production choices turned it into the pop powerbalad. You brought the rock feel back to it.

Beautiful cover of a great Badfinger song from 1970. I was fifteen when it first came out and remember it well. Harry Nilsson’s cover from 1971 is the one that really made this famous though. Well done.
