One of the catchiest songs ever written and both Steve and Eric are perfect singers. We also did a cover of the song kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j6plZ9eTntWdiY0.htmlfeature=shared and it's really not easy to sing.

For all those aspiring singers out there - this guy understands vowel sounds. Sure this song requires range and power. But listen again to Erik's vowels when he sings. It's critical to his performance in this, and really any, song. Great job. I've heard tons of covers of this song. This is, in my opinion, is the best one out there. And it really isn't even close.

I discovered Erik just a couple of nights ago and I can't stop listening to him. All the songs that I've heard him sing are all of my all time favorites, from Journey, Deep Purple, Whitesnake and all the rest that Erik shares on You Tube, and his excution of all of these songs is coming from another dimension. Absolute perfection, incredible singer. Also a big shout out to all the musicians that perform along side Erik, mesmerizing musicianship and masters of their craft.

This kid is a beast. Just saw him on Thursday night (4/14/22) in Las Vegas with Skid Row and he won over the crowd. Myself included. The place went nuts and everyone was hyped and talking about him before the Scorpions came on. He is the real deal.

I’m going to see Skid Row in Pompano Beach, FL on May 20th. I bought my ticket before Erik joined the band and was lukewarm about the show. Now I can’t wait to see them bring the house down.

I liked his voice when he was the singer in H.E.A.T thus I agree with you 'on the Talent' part. But don't forget 'This Amount Of Compression' on the leadvocal, adds a Lot to the power sound. And indeed: "Take care of that voice.."

As a Journey fan myself, I have to say that this is the best cover I've listened to by far and an outstanding vocal rendition of one of Steve Perry's best melody lines ever sung . Skid Row guys are luckiest ones of having such an extraordinary singer aboard as a frontman. All the admiration for your talent and devoted work is well deserved, Mr Grönwall.

When it was announced that Erik is the new singer for Skid Row, I'd never heard of him. After hearing the new single and many other KZfaq videos of him performing with the band, it's clear he's the guy for the job. I always thought Johnny was a great singer and never thought any of the others fit the band at all. Erik does. Since then, I've seen video after video of him and this guy is amazing. I'm glad he landed the gig and very glad that Skid Row has a singer who can really bring it.

I’m a big Journey fan. Thank you for covering the journey song your voice is amazing. Skid Row must be so lucky to found you as their new lead vocals. I was at the Zappos last week. Glam--He has talent but you are deaf if you don't hear all the effects added to his voice here. Plus something he cannot sing? Of course his own pitch and style that he don't. Imitating Bach doesn't give you a respected name. You have to bring yourself,,here.

Erik! this is absolutely amazing. I just wanted to tell you a quick story if you don't mind. I am a caregiver for my father, he is disabled he has not been able to walk since I was about five years old (I am turning 30 in June) & he raised me by himself after my mother left when I was young. Music is something that we have always bonded over, and because he grew up in the 80's, I was for the most part raised around bands from the 70's and 80's. Skid Row has been one of my favorite bands since I was about seven or eight years old and he found H.E.A.T online a few years after you had joined and we were instantly hooked. Now seeing you overcome everything you have and becoming the lead singer of Skid Row has just made us so happy and we are so proud to see you killing it and I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you have done and will continue to do in the future. Keep up all the great work man, you deserve it so much. 😊🤘

@ Eric, what would really cool is if you out out album of all original material cut in the same vein as these songs you are covering. There is no doubt in my mind you could release a killer album of "80's" rock. A great album of journey, survivor, tesla, guns n roses style material would be great with you on vocals. By the great, great job killing the Skid Row material. I can't wait for the new album.

Saw the skid row show in Munich 2 days ago and even got the VIP pack where we had the chance to talk with the band for a couple of minutes. Not only is he an amazing singer but also incredibly nice. Even with just a couple of people there, everyone in the band really took their time to make the fans feel welcome. We imagined a band like skid row being used to having thousands of fans at their shows, so why would they care about 10-15 people, but they sat down on the stage and really had a conversation with everyone and everyone could take pictures and ask them questions, it was amazing. Afterwards the concert really felt like you knew the people on stage and it made it feel even more special. The next time they are in germany, I will definitely be seeing them again.

Super Proud of you Erik, you are doing a FABULOUS job fronting Skidrow! As I mentioned in another post, I grew up in New Jersey, spent time with Snake and Rachel as much younger men at the music stores and even spent time with Sebastian , I know he would give you a Big Thumbs up! I've waited 26 years for a Skid Row album with the classic vocal sound. Now, knowing that they finally got the right singer to fill the spot, my anticipation for the new album is killing me! Erik, if you read this and have any pull with the guys, PLEASE release another song from the new one! (And tell Rachel that I said thanks for the huge influence on my bass playing. 😉)

First saw you on a Skid Row video a few minutes ago and now you cover my favorite singer .. dude ... You're very gifted as others have said. Take care of the that voice! 🙂 I'm 55 and have some range but not for long endurances. You have the range , power and endurance. So amazed! Fabulous!

saw skid row last summer and eric was amazing. then listened to his other songs. brings me back to the 80s. simply awesome. keep up the great work and rock on

I just binged I think pretty much all the covers of this song on KZfaq. There are a lot of good ones, and a few GREAT ones. And I think the best one by some nebulous margin, from a pure vocal standpoint, is this one.
