After installing the ridge beam Erin had a mini-stroke and was rushed to the hospital. We are revisiting the way both the channel and the build will continue. For now we are moving forward at a much slower pace. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support as we work towards returning to normal.

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and the buiness/work related side of our life can be found on our secondary channel "Josh and Erin- The After Show". Here you will see us renovating our Cafe, opening/operating the Cafe with goods from our farm, building/furnishing/running our short term rentals, finding/operating our other real estate investments and more. Erin, josh have you considered purchasing a defibrillator for your home and one for your vehicle 🤔. They used to be very expensive but nowadays they have come right down in price and knowing that you guy's live miles from anywhere it may be a very good idea to purchase a couple of defibrillators. Better to be safe than sorry. Even though you say it almost a couple of weeks since it happened, please be safe and try to slow down a little. You guy's have a lot on your plate between the new build extension and the cafe then there's the candle making business not to forget the farming side of your life. As always guy's 💯% 👍 🇬🇧 🙏💔❤️‍🩹🙏.

Stress is one of the single most contributing factors to strokes. I know you mentioned going through some medical stuff with one of the boys. As a parent with a child who had a health scare, there is nothing more stressful in this world than that. Step back, slow down, even hand off some of your projects to hired help till everyone is healthy again. Nothing is worth risking anyone's health over.

Hawthorn berry tea is great for the circulatory system. Help clean and restore elasticity within that system. Cayenne is a vascular dilator to help increase blood flow. They will likely push for blood thinners. Pomegranate juice and dark grape juice are excellent for the blood and circulatory system. Ashwaganda tea is good herb to reduce stress among many other benefits. The damage done will heal over time if the stress on the body is reduced enough. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery. Keep the AWESOME videos coming!

Your health is more important Erin. Please go slow, rest when needed. I am a registered nurse, in 2010 I almost died, kidney failure after having my gallbladder removed, this stumped the doctors. I spent 2 months in the hospital fighting for my life. I am much better now, and off dialysis. My teams of doctors really fought to keep me alive, but most of all my faith in God healed me. Trust in God and His healing powers, and He will heal you and make you whole. My prayer for you is that God covers and protect you and your family always, and that your health will always be protected, also your husband and children. God blessed

I finally got one word out “bye”. I was taken by ambulance immediately to the hospital. After several days as an inpatient I was released and had therapy to do. My mind was alert and I was able to regain speech and vision. I recovered fully and have been on meds since. My lifestyle is good and blessed. I have a full life and appreciate every day. The fact you're on here, being very honest about it, is going to save some one someday. I hope the care you're getting makes a good determination on what the cause was and how best to move forward. Erin, I’m so sorry to hear sweetheart. I’ve had numerous TIA’s and two brain surgeries to remove tumors. I’m 4 years cancer free now. Just take it easy and get all your scans and tests asap. I was recovering from my second brain surgery at the Mayo when someone handed me an iPad and I found your channel, I saw your second ever video and haven’t missed one since. We are family. Erin, I'm so sorry that this happened to you. As soon as Josh said you've had too much going on, I immediately said out loud, "Yep." I had already thought that while watching previous videos. Being ambitious is one thing, but your body may be trying to tell you that you've taken on TOO many responsibilities. Please allow yourself to slow down and relax more. Aside from that, I love the channel! I just found you yesterday and have already watched more than 40 videos! Be safe and well, take care of yourself ❤

My grandmother had TIAs her whole life, but was still the first one down the sledding hill with her kids, the one who hit the ball so far they couldn't find it at the office picnic, and the one who got on the back of the 4 wheeler she rented me on Daytona Beach when she was in her 70s. My mom was entirely used to finding her on the floor as a girl, and then my grandmother getting back up and carrying on with cooking or laundry or whatever. She lived into her 90s and had a long full life with lots of memories.

Erin, people will call me crazy for telling you this, but I don't really care anymore. Take some time out alone and ask "out loud" your angels, your team, for guidance and to help you navigate this. I did this recently with a personal problem of mine and within hours I had the first sign show up. It was undeniable from my perspective. And a few days later came another major sign and help. Also send them the joy and love in thanks in advance. They love that. I wish you all the best. (I a side note as I proof read this it brings tears to my eyes what they did for me. I won't go into it here but I have been touched deeply by this experience.) Much love to you.

I experienced this with my wife. Be patient, I know it's hard, it's going to seem like the doctors don't care because the appointments are going to be far away, but it's because they are so busy not because they don't want to help and get to a diagnosis, but that is certainly how it feels at the moment. The good thing is you are recovering, so like they say, just keep an eye on yourself. We are praying for Erin and hope the worst is over.

My cousin in her 30's was just admitted to the hospital with similar stoke like symptoms, could not speak. They haven't been able to diagnose what caused it. I know 8 people sudden stage 4 cancer, 2 with heart issues and many women with fertility issues. My sister sudden stage 4 cancer and her husband had a heart attack. All vaxxed and most under 55yrs. I am soooo angry. And they are still pushing the poison on people. Evil.

The doctors were incentivized to give out the shots and if they speak out, they have to return the funds so don't expect an apology from the docs. Our family sees 3 doctors who use to strongly push the safe and effective and they have done a 180 on their stance. We're in strange times.

He is now 63 and his only issues were in the beginning he had short term memory and anxiety that is was going to happen again. We also live very rural. After initial tests run one out of 15 doctors he saw told him to go to Cleveland clinic. The others said he was fine. Turned out there was a hole in the upper chambers if his heart. It was a three hour drive but it saved his life. Definitely get second and third opinions. Wish you all the best
