I have researched Air Purifiers for a while. I even purchased a few and returned them. I thing is true of all of them. The clean air that protrudes fro the purifier, goes striaght up into the air and back down to the machine. The Dyson on the other hand protrudes outward, that is a good thing. As long as it works. It may be worth the price of Admission. I have one on order. I will see then!

A set of replacement filters Hepa and Carbon is my best guess US$400 Nobody knows because Dyson currently refuse to publish filter prices in my country, but the Hepa filter alone is US$170 on Dyson US website. Carbon filters usually cost more and typically last 50% the time of the Hepa filter. Sales staff have been trained to say around $30 for each filter where I live and get angry when I show them the US website. I said i'd buy the product and order 4 sets of filters today if they'd give me that price but not approved. My car will last 5 years on a tank of fuel if I never drive it or always drive it down hill. People who need air purifiers dont live on mountains. They live in polluted cities where PM 2.5 is a real health risk and where filters typically have to be changed twice a year or more. None of the reviews I've seen mention consumables or cost of ownership. There lies the problem with product placement and "influencer" reviews.

I need one this size heat and cool version. Might it be on the works?

It is pretty good-looking - I think its appearance is actually starting to grow on me, LOL! 😄 Nice review - nice to really get a good look at this newer unit. That said, it is only providing the readings for PM2.5 particles which account for less than 10% of all the particles in the air we breathe and they are less dangerous to humans. Smaller Ultrafine particles .1 to .003 microns in size account for 90% of all the particles in the air we breathe and they are the most dangerous to humans. Unfortunately, most HEPA air purifiers don't actually work at a HEPA level in the real world for consumers in their environments so if this unit actually did do a good job of filtering ultrafine particles - I would consider it to be a very good investment for our overall health. However, I believe the chances of this unit actually filtering at such an elite level for particles is slim as very few air purifiers actually achieve that level of filtration.

Working in healthcare for decades in histology and pathology where formaldehyde is used a lot for tissue, organs, limbs, etc for preservation and histopathology..... I've never heard it pronounced as For-Mall-Da-Hyde until I saw this video..... we always pronounce it as For-Mel-Da-Hyde... even manufacturer who makes it pronounce it with a MEL... not MALL

You forgot to mention it’s the first air purifier in the world to ever do all of this. In your intro you talk so nonchalantly in a tone like ALL air purifiers do this. Air purifiers extend life for everyone. Even “normal people” as you say without allergies. This new tech sitting next to you should have as grand an opening intro as the first iPhone. Yes it’s that important. I hate how stupid the general public is. If you can’t see it who cares? Right?
