Honestly, another badass moment is also from Eris, when Immaru asks Eris "who died and made you an expert of Throne Worlds?", and she only answered "Crota.". Damn. Like, GAWD DAMN.

I was pretty satisfied with this ending. Everyone was expecting Eris to go head to head with Xivu Arath, which would just strengthen her. Instead, taking a leaf from Savathun's book, she used cunning and cleverness instead, something Xivu can't fight or gain strength from. So now, Xivu is still a threat, but it's dimished now. She won't pick a fight with us while she's evicted from her throne world and thus vulnerable, this gives us some breathing room to go after the Witness.

@kndli67 maybe you don't like the story or story in games generally, but they are some of us who enjoy it. Everyone has their opinion, but be fair to those who don't know the story beat. I don't know if you like watching TV shows or movies, but would you like to see randomly on a timeline a major plot point be spoiled by a thumbnail? And if you don't mind, you are in a minority.

eris killing savathun means she will gain control of the throne, which she then used that power to banish xivu arath as a royal decree. that was the only way to defeat xivu without fighting a war with her

1) she doesnt have her worm so she aint really as strong as prime hive days 2) she was just ressurected, she is VERY weak and vulnerable when just rezed. 3) oryx and xivu alredy killed her millions of time in the lore

I mean she spawns, talks shit in sword swiping distance, dies and now Erie is the strongest hive ? Ok like I thought there supposed to be god like and a kitchen knife can kill this chick? Like i said, she is extremely weak when rezed, if she was alive longer eris couldnt do it that easily but eris did kill her like that only cuz shes at her lowest. Thing i agree with is that she defo cant be the strongest hive ever, like oryx and xivu killed savathun countles times and got tithes from her and billions of civilizations they made extinct. I dont understand how she can be stronger than them and outweight all of that by us killing hive for 1 season. +xivu gets power from all warring so even when we were tithing eris xivu was still getting more powerful. The math doesnt add up

Girl power all round, cabal : yasss queen slay, the hive : yassss queen slay, the awoken: I’m actually ok with this , the fallen : yassss queen slay, guardians : yasss queen slay, the exo : yassss queen brey ….. like I get it bungie I get what your pandering and going for and leading to …. But the speaker killed an forgotten, Clovis brey killed via wall switch, hell even the cabal warlord we fight in the dlc got killed off and he was a fraction of what he used to be like the dude sent us to the shadow realm and manipulated reality and his daughter couldn’t fight along side us for the last stretch of the game but hand off cabal leader to her because nepotism. And don’t get me started on the other bs … this is just lazy

Terrible writing, hyped xivu up way too much prior this past two years then realised they’ve written themselves into a corner with the penultimate ending creeping in so they’ve cheaply pushed her aside until they can fit her in. Seriously terrible.

Gotta admit....this was kinda pathetic. We get a tease of Savathun as a potential future ally, considering her backstory of being tricked by the Worms and the Pyramids, and she is killed off the instant she returns. Not to mention Xivu. Has been talked about as one of the trickiest Hive gods, is just insta banished from the throne world? I get that Xivu has bren talked about this "incredible threat" that will cause issues, but if Eris can literally banish her from her own throne world, why the hell do we care about her when we have an ancient villian who literally has done the most damage to the Traveler since Ghaul?

Bungie has ruined their lore. You can’t just banish someone from their throne world unless you are the Darkness, all other inhabitants only control their respective worlds. Now power has no meaning, side sin conflicts have no meaning, nothing is consistent or solid, the world of destiny is like putty thrown into a blender, everything can change at any time with no reason or purpose just to justify more product.

You most definitely can you just need to be ridiculously powerful, I believe Oryx banished Crota or some other Hive God from their ascendant realm. In this case Eris used Hive magic and all the power of her godhood to banished Xivu.

@@Cyberbro665 Oryx banished Crota by using his position as king of the Hive, not magically barring him from entering. Crota was allowed back after he proved his worth and ability. It’s a political decree, not a tangible force.

@@Cyberbro665 Oryx physically imprisoned him on the dreadnaught and made sure he was kept under heavy guard. You can’t access the ascendant plain from everywhere, you have to have specific portals or entrances and Alak’hul was captured in the physical world. I don’t believe Alak’hul ever had a throne world either since we killed him after we killed Oryx and he only came back after he was resurrected by a ghost.
