His performance in' Marty' is one of the best of all time. The movie stays with you for days afterwards. The same can be said for Sidney Poitier's performance in ' Lilies of the Fields' Those were the days....To Kill a Mockingbird.. great movies without computer generated effects..

Its one of my favorites, always has been. I always notice that one of the neighborhood sidekicks is played by Frank Sutton who was also "Sergeant Carter" in Gomer Pyle

No actor in the whole world could have been better as Marty.. I might just stay home & watch the hit parade! , she made me feel like I was a bug, such a lovely heart rendering movie...
