This EMSD publicity video introduces the safety devices of a general escalator, the responsibilities of responsible persons for escalators to arrange periodic maintenance and examination, the points to note for responsible persons for escalators during their daily inspections on escalator operation as well as the guidelines on safe use of escalators.

I can not understand why escalators have sharp spikes on the front of them I one time tripped and got one of them right into my kneecap it went in so deep very painful

Where were all these great safeties when the kid's head got smashed just like that ball??? I also saw a Chinese kid grab the outside rail and fall 2-3 floors. Saw a guy get his plywood stuck on the ceiling and the steps chomped him up. And speed calibrator, people in US got hurt when it suddenly went backwards.... So much for emergency shutoffs... where do they find people to do these things to find out if the safety works with their own butt??

8:26 why not for Shopping Trolley Bag with 2 Wheels ? In Holland is allowed on escalators with bicycles. Here on you tube are movies with bicycle on escalators in the Netherlands. . Agreed Escalator not for Wire Shopping Trolley , Flat Pack Platform Trolley , prams ..

Jeez, can't IMAGINE STICKING A SHOE with MY FOOT IN it, to get jammed into a Chinese escalator!!! Note, the loose plate shutoff was totally useless when the mother in China got eaten...shutoffs don't work when people are idiots, I guess. By that I mean, the mechanic must have overrode the emergency stop.

Well, it's HK, so all of the escalators they use are either from Japan, Europe or America, and none of the cheap Chinese bullshit.
