Particularly when Arthur said 'shit happens', I really thought Mera would produce a fresh specimen.

I still like the character of Mera I just wasn’t a fan of the whole toxic relationship situation she had. I’ll still watch the sequel even if she’s in it or not. I’m here for Mera not Amber Heard and her relationship issues but if I were in charge I’d replace her with someone else. But right now it is what it is honestly.

Also her cyberbullying Zoe Kravitz who is Jason's stepdaughter. So to say the least if they were to get along at any point in time, they don't get along anymore (see, Jason not standing up for anything about Amber Heard while having post-poned production for Aquaman 2 for at least one year to defend Ray Fisher... ?). I feel like Amber on top of being an abuser, has created a toxic environment around her regarding her co-stars (I'd say, even the director seeing how he's spent two years celebrating Aquaman without talking about its main actress, yknow?), especially the main one yknow, and idk what it'll do to the movies if she's still in it (not to mention literally 2 millions people signing a petition saying they won't watch the movie if she's in it... or literally every youtube comment section about Aquaman/Amber Heard being about the JD case... or James Wan getting harrassed to fire Amber Heard because of said drama). And I won't even mention the tons of testimonies from Amber Heard's colleagues in other movies who have talked about horrendous experiences with her/because of her. I can't say Emilia Clarke would be a better Mera because she is a fancast and I don't think she's even considered for the role and it'd be weird to cast her just for chemistry reasons or whatever. But I do feel like I could drop a whole list of "better Meras" and "better actresses to work with" for the cast and crew of this movie. Mera is a too big character in the Aquaman lore to disappear (even tho I'd totally watch an Aquaman saga without Aquaman having any love interest, like idc, but erasing Mera would be a shame)... but I do 100% believe this character and the franchise would benefit from a recast and again, seeing how neither James Wan nor Jason Momoa or Patrick Wilson or literally *anyone* who has worked on this movie has ever expressed anything positive about Amber Heard, I don't think they'd cry over her if she were not to return in these movies?

Well, you see, this is the first movie. I don't recall seeing much from Asgard during the first Thor movie as well. They will probably show more from Atlantis on the sequel, especially now that Arthur is the king.

Because aquaman didn’t go to atlantis much of his early life.

They show more of Atlantis than Asgard or Wakanda ever were show. Because whenever we enter or viewed those two places it was from the same perspective and nothing ever changed. Majority of movie in Asgard only took place on the bridge or the royal palace. In wakanda it was very isolated for most of it only saw small part and no citizen ever reacted or interacted with T'challa. And in Asgard the citizens only stood in back ground
