I realize I'm a little late with this video, a lot of people have already talked about some of these issues. I just wanted to get my thoughts out there as well :)

Butcher needs to change the ammo to m80 and increase the recoil, then with the armour changes the hex shouldnt be as good. Ive done 4 tree's now, its after 5 games where it starts putting you against same-ish tier kits. There is still a massive imbalance, ive had tier 2 kits (the runner with pistol) against capstone kits - think arp still plays a part as i was 2.2k at the time of changing tree's, i had to down myself to 1.9k. Like the kit idea, but it may be better just to do like normal tarkov like traders.. level 2 only has access to certain attachments, guns and ammo so on and so forth, then you make your own kits. There are plenty of other nuances that irk me, like being 47xp off the next kit and win a game for the remaining 7k xp to go to waste - very small issue but there are plenty like that. Defo agree with the talking whilst dead thing, so many times i want to shout "youre looking at him! Up top!" 😂 i still love it, just really needs polishing. Veritas does a good video on some of the issues if you havent seen it

If Tarkov feedback was taken into account, the game would be perfect.

is the weapon handling in arena the same as in current tarkov or is it still outdated? I feel like pointfire / hipfire in arena still seems to be accurate but in normal eft it is not as controllable

The attacker defender point suggestion is a good idea but for it to be fun I feel like it would need some changes there’s not enough utility to allow for a fun and fair chance for the attackers due to the inability to force the defenders to move and help the push

i think its fine if i switch to a lower kit it fixes my match making within a few minutes. Everyone wants to turn it into siege or CS. Fine the way it is also any kit of similar tier as butcher in another tree can kill it. I have all the scout tree done and thats not even a preset i worry about at all lol.

H9w about unlocking thinks while you level up like a new gun every level and then if you want the better ammo for that gun you have to level up the gun itself like cod

Loving Arena but agree with your points and a lot is predictably frustrating. For me so much of it comes down to ammo imbalance. If all ammo within each class had relatively similar pen it'd change everything, even accounting for rate of fire in SMGs or the power of buckshot etc. Lot to be done, but for me a massively worthwhile investment, I knew it'd become a time sink for me. I really love main game but am far too casual for it, I managed around 50 hours a few wipes ago and 5th pocket watch attempt done me as a new to pc new to eft solo. I know the game fairly well but feel like the curve will just be too much cope to be net positive. I'm really looking forward to see what comes, in development games are generally great value for this reason, as long as you're prepared for highs, lows and wildcards. I just hope I can make it to Altyn before they flip things upside down! 😅 I got to PBP pp19 on scout and it's rad

they should just add the eft armor system into arena

Fyi, 1:08 recoil as a stat itself cannot be compared between weapons. So recoil lets say 60 for the SA-58 doesnt mean recoil 60 for the mutant. Welcome to Tarkov where nothing makes sense.

It's so fun being able to use big kits without grinding or kitting up (Compared to the main game), as a long time player it feels so wrong/fun to have thicc kits back to back for hours

I have a little over 60 hours in and I’m unlocking both the brigadier and the butcher next. How you’re at 90 and not even close surprises me. Also, the brigadier is arguably stronger than the butcher simply for spitting out m995 at 900 rounds a minute. That Rhys T doesn’t stand up well against that and neither does a hex grid. Oh… and it’s a laser beam again as well. I don’t understand this recoil system at all, I’ve played Tarkov for years and they spent all this time balancing and nerfing these exact guns into the dirt just to make them all amazing all over again? Why? The recoil didn’t need an overhaul they just needed to make the horizontal recoil actually play a factor. Before every gun just jumped immediately to your forehead but that was still better than the laser beams we have now. Full auto should be a uncontrollable mess, not a tactical solution to someone 100 meters away in a tower when you have a MP5k with no stock 😂. The changes are ass.
