First house annex I would enclosed the outside stairway and make it accessible from the downstairs garage then renovate it as an entertaining space.

All fantastic properties -- but I actually LOVED house #1! It was like a postcard, but I understand it may be further away from work than they wanted. Would love to know now what the family ultimately decided to do.

The mystery house is definately the best option.

Fun mum and daughter duo, some great houses, massive budget. House 1 was lovely but pricey with good potential for reno of the garage. Loved the potential of house 2 outbuildings but the overall price (including reno for the barn) wouldn't leave them much. Mystery house (mystery compound? lol) seemed best suited for their unique living situation.

So, did they get the mystery house or not? Update please.

I like the coffee community truck and it's mission.....With a budget of £1,2million pounds, I am sure the perfect property would not need any renovation.....Nice home with a granny flat.... Perhaps holiday let's for granny to run....

As I am the age of the grandmother I would want my annex to be the same quality as the house, I don't think they had enough money left to make any space for her the same level of finish, shame on the host for expecting her to settle for less.

I can't imagine living in a house without a backyard/garden. How crazy is this?

Man-they really did not reveal anything did they? They said the right words, but their body language did not seem to match. I wonder what they decided. These types of episodes leave me a little let down, if I’m being honest. I know it’s none of my business, but I feel kind of invested by the end.
