I want to thank you for making these videos of your journey. I’m having an esophagectomy on August 29. I am afraid. The surgeon said I will be in for 10-14 days. First three days in ICU. Feeding tube after that. He said up to three months with feeding tube in. I’m in so much pain, throwing up everyday and having the dumping syndrome (I don’t know if you had that). I am from Pittsburgh PA. I don’t know where you are from. Your videos were four years ago I believe. This is 2022. I have Gastroparesis and my stomach is paralyzed which is why I vomit and have dumping syndrome. My body goes into shock and I’ve passed out many times…

My dad is going in for his surgery tomorrow at MSK in New York City. Bought him an iPad for his stay as-well. Have to say thank you so much for these videos!

Hope your dad is doing well. I'm also being treated at MSK and will have an esophogectomy in early January by Dr. Park. Wondering if he's the same surgeon? He has a great reputation and I like him very much.
