Destiny 2 The Final Shape - Excision, 12 Player Final Mission Full Playthrough & All Cutscenes - The End of the Light & Darkness Saga. Just a video showing the final mission for The Final Shape that unlocked after the world's first Savlation's Edge raid today.
Well done Bungie, well done. For me, The Final Shape has been very satisfying, and this final mission really topped it off. The Witness fight is a spectacle, and all very well done.
I wanted to post this up while I had a little time between the raid. Our group has been up for well over 24 hours at this point, so we're taking a break until later today to come in refreshed. The raid is very challenging, as I'm sure most can tell.

I'm sure it was meant to be a coincidence, but perhaps Bungie's way to also do a last hurrah to Lance for all the years he voiced Zavala from Destiny 1 up to Season of the Deep, before his unexpected passing. We all know if he was still alive, he'd have CRUSHED IT in Zavala's big speech, just as Keith David does it. :)

I did it with randoms but one started to use Outbreak Perfected, and eventually everyone used it. Everyone. We dealt so much damage with it and laughed at the local chat. Truly Destiny moment.

@@nerm9507 I have a collectors poster that has the Tricorn at its center with two circles touching where it sits (like an infinity symbol.) After staring at it leading up to TFS I became convinced that the Tricorn was the symbol representing Light and Dark coming together, the real final shape. If you look at The Viel it's clear that the Traveller was once conneted to it. Why is the Traveller so afraid to reconnect to The Veil? There are still so many unanswered questions.

@@PanoptesDreamsi’m not a lore expert but i’m pretty sure the traveler didn’t want to connect to the veil purely because it didn’t want the witness to enact the final shape. it goes against the philosophy of the light.

There's also the extra considerations of: if the original Lore from D1 is to believed (the Flower Game), then the Traveller doesn't want to be reunited with The Veil as it's trying to prove a point to it's antithetical self. (That life that doesn't fit within 'the pattern' can live.) But with retro-continuity it states that The Witness made up The Flower Game story, which if it did, creates many many more questions. Does this make The Vex the real Winnower? or just an instrument of proof? Maybe the Vex were the reason for this pattern hapening to begin with. But then the Vex also have their own idea of what the universe should look like. IT GOES ON AND ON! P.S The Viel was supposed to be the name of the race that is The Witness, thank Bungie for trying to 1-up the community "no the veil is actually the space onion." VEILED statues.

When this happened, we got EVERYONE in our friendslist back into the game. Old, new and veterans. We reunited again, back to back we stood. When zavala finished his speech and charged we were like battle screaming ourselfs in the party. It was such a ridiculous moment and yet, it meant everything for us.

Actually , one fireteam is 3 guardians. In raid here 2 fireteams. In last mission we have 4 fireteams.

Fireteams have always been referred to as groups of 3 or 6, remember that Crota's End featured a fireteam of 6, whose original crew was that of Eris Morn and 5 other guardians (all of which had considerable lore relating to them as well). Lore wise, every raid consists of 6 Guardians moving in and successfully eliminating the threat. Same goes for strikes featuring 3.

It's right up there with the best storytelling they've ever created. Only thing on par would be the ending of Halo 3 when Chief gets into the cryopod and tells Cortana to wake him when he's needed. Funny how they're so similar in a way.

Right. It was really cool, because you really can feel that guardian spirit while playing. Everyone helping each other. Everyone fighting to live. Get knocked down and get back up and fight. This is the best activity I’ve ever been a part of. Had me all up in my feelings and that never happens. I can’t tell you how many tells I yelled “GET SOME” while playing. My 9yr old stopped gaming and watching and was cheering me on. He thought it was thee coolest thing he’s ever seen in a game. Perfectly setup by Bungie. (Chefs kiss)

So an interesting thing I just noticed today was that Cayed left a message for the player on the radio. It sounds like to me that during the mission where he makes Crow the new hunter vanguard, he decided that no mater what happened during the final battle he would sacrifice himself. He would either sacrifice himself to save the universe, or to save someone on the battlefield that he cared most for. (which ended up being the players ghost) I believe even if nobody died he might have tried to sacrifice his light then to bring back Zavala’s ghost or maybe even his son or wife. And it would make sense for him in this context. He was truly at peace and even though he was back you can tell he wasn’t ‘back’. He was much more serious and less joking. He only felt like good old Cade on the last mission with him. The point where he had made up his mind to sacrifice himself. Or who knows maybe I’m really just reading way too far into a 1 minute voice memo.

I can’t believe that after everything, and as much of a meme as it’s become, the final line delivered in the final cutscene of the conclusion of this saga of Destiny was delivered by our fuckin guardian. It felt special, like it really meant something

So this is the end huh? Welp the saga was fun while it lasted, can't believe it has come to an end. To the people i fought and died with in destiny 1 and 2, THANK YOU for this wonderful experience over the years, thank you for keeping me up at night so we can do crota's raid and thanks for going blade dancer spam back then for a special experiment! - That dude that always used suros in d1 and somehow managed to fall off a cliff as soon as ghost resurrected him.

22:10 I remember that tune from D1 when sitting in orbit. It was my favorite OST for how peaceful and tranquil it was. Hearing it hear hit my nostalgia harder than you can imagine. OST in question is called "Tranquility"
