40:43 to deduce means to figure out through logical reasoning

This goes into philosophy that doesn't really interest anyone, but I can't bypass such an opportunity to fully nerd out. Deduction is a special case of logical reasoning, where we know the premises we base the reasoning on are definitely true (mostly mathematics). The other case being induction, where we can only conclude probabilities. The card is named "Deduce", because Holmes used the word at some point (or points) in the original stories, although he was talking about induction.

To your question about domain vs convoke. I've been playing convoke before the murders and domain with lockdowns and the angle was a slightly favourable match-up for me. If you try a version of boros convoke I would advise you to include 4 thrans portals, ignore the big unicorn and consider the battle mouse, of the new cards Warleader’s call has impressed me the most.

Outrageous robbery seems like an omission from the deck. Have you played with / against it and your thoughts on what you would change to add it

Not sure I want the card. Deluge usually overpowers everyone already. Card seems a good amount worse on avg than Deluge.

Hey Arne, happy to see you uploading control decks again :) The new camera setup is very cool. Definitely agreed on deluge being better than intrude. Perhaps it was meant as a post-rotation replacement. What do you think about running a "turboxerox" version with 4 deduces and 25 lands? In esper, it seems like an overkill with mirrexes and fields of ruin, but maybe it could work in UW? What would you recommend against domain, just Jace? Outrageous robbery looks very spicy.

Hey Kejml :) I haven't played enough Standard to give you valuable advice on the Domain vs Esper matchup. I am not sure Robbery is what you want. You might not be able to use their cards that well. What do you mean by turboxerox? Definitely a fan of Deduce, too.

@@ArneHuschenbethYT Sorry, what i meant was that given 4 Deduces are cheap cantrips with a clue, that they could be an argument for removing a land or two. :) But 25 lands certainly seems crazy!

@@MCKejml You can get away with 26 perhaps, 25 does seem low indeed. Are you rocking UW Control over Esper these days?

@@ArneHuschenbethYT That makes sense! Still on Esper, but I admit that the list of Reasons Is thinning - void rend, Ertai, Reef, Sheoldred, and that's about it! Looking forward to testing the Robbery, though. It seems useful in a mirror, and with more overall synergy than jace, given its instant speed...

What is the point/win con of decks like this one? Mirrex and the occasional Emperor token? I feel like 98% of matches end because opponent gets sick of counters and removals and just concedes.

The point is that you don't need a win con that clogs up your hand and does nothing in the early and midgame. That's a positive. And it's intended that way.
