I don’t want to hear these excuses Both Maxey and Joel Embiid lost to Jalen Brunson this year Embiid dropped 50 in a game and was trying to intentionally injure Mitchell Robinson which he was successful at doing and they still lost. I’m not choosing Joel Embiid over Jalen Brunson leadership heart and will account for a lot. Embiid isn’t a number one option on a championship team. He’s played with some of the leagues best. From Jimmy Butler to James Harden Ben Simmons before the mental collapse, now Maxey. Now when he loses with Paul George they will still say the Sixers are better. The Sixers literally just lost to the Knicks 2nd and 3rd string. I don’t want to hear about Embiid 😂

Love how whenever the Knicks beating the Sixers this postseason is brought up, it’s “Oh yeah well Embiid was hurt!” First of all, healthy enough to play and put up big numbers. Also, conveniently leaving out Randle was injured and Mitch wasn’t healthy either/missed some games. And btw…when is Embiid EVER healthy in the postseason??

While alot of these talking heads are right, as far as the Sixers talent level may be better, it's not THAT much better and they're not deeper. What ALL OF these talking heads always seem to poo poo is CHEMISTRY. There's been MANY uber talented teams(Lakers, Nets, Clippers etc) that didn't have chemistry. If they can't play together, they can have all the talent in the world and it won't work. The Knicks have built in chemistry with the Nova Knicks. The only NEW Knicks are Bridges and Kolek and Bridges played w the Nova Knicks for years. At best, the Sixers will need at least one season to build the same type of chemistry the Knicks have

Talent is subjective, if you're looking for flashy offensive plays the 76ers have more of that talent. If you're looking for offensive rebounding, immaculate footwork, playing off 2 feet, perimeter defense, rim protection, 3 point shooting, the ability to control the tempo of the game yeah I'd say the knicks are more talented than the 76ers

Phili has 3 of the 4 best players if you compare both rosters... The Knicks have at least 5-9 (Randle/Bridges/OG/Hart/DiVincenzo)... arguably even 10 (Robinson or Porter, depends how you look at it)... So at top the 76ers might be better... but hell, they dont even have a playable 10 man rotation together. Let alone a good one!

The thing is, the Knicks are kind of locked into this core and there’s not a whole lot they can do to add around what they’ve got. And it’s only going to be harder when the time comes for some of the guys we’re currently under paying right now to get paid. The Knicks main strength right now that gives them their chance to win is their depth. They may not have the best three players but they’ll have a better 8 man rotation than most teams. Part of the reason that’s the case is because we’ve got great players on great deals rn. But that won’t last for long so the fact is the Knicks need to establish themselves as a true contender soon and win a ring in the next three seasons. Then they can decide to retool or run it back

Do these "experts"expect PG13 and Embid to play more that 50 games next year? I understand that there are questions about the Knicks' regarding injuries, but to suggest that it is reasonable to expect the Sixers "big three" to stay healthy is a reach. Also, the Knicks core is entering it's prime. The Sixers window to win is much smaller than the Knicks.

JB is clearly at another level vs Maxey even if you are generous with much more he can develop. PG is not as good as JB even when PG plays, which is not very often. BUT, overall, being a Knicks fan, I'd say that Sixers do have a better chance IF everyone stays healthy for them, which is a very very low probability event. Embiid and PG are both very injury prone. Knicks had bad luck with Randle and OG and Mitch are hurt a lot but Brunson and Bridges are very durable and Randle has been durable until this year. So, overall, injury risk adjusted, I like our chances more.

Simple question, if Maxey was on the knicks rather than JB, would he have this kind of impact? Jalen led an injured team to the second place in the east. Maxey and Philly dropped all the way down to the play in without Embid. These people are stupid. None of these other players would have the impact not the bravery to play for the knicks. The pressure too much for them. JB is better than Maxey, no doubt

Marc Spears played himself. He knew he messed up but stood on his take so he looks like a fool. He's said some dumb stuff in the past, but this is just dumb. I'm not taking PG over Randle at this point. They are equal in impact. Brunson is better than Maxey, and we will have 2 of the top 3 defenders on our team with 3 decent defenders on the bench on the ready. He looked like the producers told him to make that statement for debate purposes.
