This ESPN Sports Century biography on Pat Tillman is divided into six parts. I think this aired in 2005. For updated information, read "Boots on the Ground by Dusk: My Tribute to Pat Tillman" by Mary Tillman www.amazon.com/Boots-Ground-Du... and "Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman" by Jon Krakauer www.amazon.com/gp/product/0385...

I have always respected this man and im not ashamed of anyone that goes into war. I will always see Pat as my hero not only for his courage but for his passion and his spirit and his attitude towards life. I have been a big military especially Army supporter but when i saw The Tillman Story it shocked me that people would do that to a man so dedicated to his life and others lives, I admire greatly the true pat tillman

To all the people who are saying pat tillman was an egotistical idiot who is getting too much glory: This is what i once thought about him, but then i was forced to read the jon krakauer book about him for school and i realized that he was truly a down to earth man who didn't care about fame or money and actually stopped talking to the press after they started trying to make him some sort of idol. I am a liberal and I hate war but i still respect Pat Tillman's character and loyalty.

It's one thing to be caught up in post-9/11 paranoia and join the Army, it's another thing entirely to do it, when you've got so much to lose and have all this talent to offer the world. The right wing portrays Pat Tillman as their poster child when in reality he's the poster child for every American citizen. The fact that political parties (I haven't seen liberals do it yet, but I'm sure they want to) try to claim Pat Tillman's heroics and soul for themselves is goddamn disgraceful.
