I just hope i get to live long enough to see our extinction firsthand, whether it’d be via an asteroid strike, nuclear war, or a pandemic. Brandon S yeah because since this is a pandemic and normally pandemics don’t end for about 12 to 36 months it’s possible it will decrease alter in the year but I do think it will be officially over by December 2020 or January 2021.

Two problems with that. First off, we have no idea how long this is going to be at a crisis level....could be many months. But let’s say, for argument’s sake, that everything was back to normal by June.....at that point, all the venues have other events scheduled, graduations are happening, there’s the NBA draft, etc. So logistically, it would just be impossible to reschedule. Cancellation was the only feasible way to go, unfortunately.

How are they really gonna say the NCAA acted quicker than they wanted to? The leagues who actually pay their players had already cancelled but y’all were still sitting around wondering if you could make billions off these kids instead of doing the right thing. Just my take on it tho.

or, here’s a crazy thought, maybe they wanted to do everything they could to play the games bc the fans, players, and everyone else involved wanted it so badly? the NBA paying players had nothing to do with them suspending the season, not cancelling it like you said. if the NBA was about to head into the playoffs they probably would have given it more thought too. or, maybe rich man bad like you say, idk.

I actually do not think that the seniors should be allowed to come back for another year for winter sports. They have played a full regular season so their eligibility should have already been exhausted. Though I do think the players on spring sports teams should be granted another year since spring sports have just begun and it would be like a medical redshirt.

lmao when will this brain dead opinion cease to be? clearly the players don’t feel exploited given they happily and voluntarily sign up for it, even if there’s an option to play professionally overseas. they’re given a free scholarship to college and get the best living conditions out of all other students. it can’t be exploitation if they consent to it lol that doesn’t make any sense. calling college basketball exploitation is one of the dumbest things i’ve ever seen.

It's a shame those athletes wont get to compete in the tournament, for many it's a once in a lifetime experience and the last time they may ever play competitively. However I have to admit, this past college basketball season has been one of the least talked about that I can remember. Other than the youngest son of Lavar Ball, I don't even know who the top draft prospects are. Just seemed like it was a forgettable season, with few major standout players and no dominant team/teams. As a result I hardly watched at all.

Unfortunately, the next opening isn't until 2027. If I were Emmert in this situation, I'd push back the next bid cycle to 2028-2032, push the 2021-26 hosts back a year and give Atlanta the 2021 Final Four as a make-good for coronavirus ruining everything.

Here’s a breakdown of future Final Four sites: 2022: Mercedes-Benz SuperDome in New Orleans, Louisiana 2023: NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas 2024: State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona 2025: Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas 2026: Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana As for the women’s side of things, the 2021 Women’s Final Four will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. In 2022, the event will be held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Imagine being a senior leader like Payton Pritchard, Cassius Winston, or Myles Powell. You poured your heart and soul into your program for 4 years. And finding out you've played your final game from the news. They're college colleges were over and they didn't even know it. Thats heartbreaking 😢

Those seniors weren’t the top seniors in 2020, my boy Udoka Azubuike was a senior on the #1 ranked Kansas Jayhawks who ended that year on a 16 game winning streak 🤷🏾‍♂️💯
