Her team is terrible, most of the turnovers were her teamates not being ready for a pass.

The entire game was suspect on several levels yet Caitlyn still shined as one of the top 4 players despite not starting, not getting any calls and basically getting sabotaged.

CC has never acted like the pros would come easy. She’s never said she plays for girls who look like her or blamed criticism of her on race. She doesn’t pull hair and push and shove and brawl, or treat basketball games like a fashion show. She takes total ownership of her performance and doesn’t blame her team. Time and time again she shows up and plays hard and treats others with grace and humility. She cares about the community and being a role mode to all young girls. For all those reasons she is already a tremendous success. The 10 turnovers is a testament to the skill of the Connecticut Sun and Clark’s inexperience, but she had 3 or 4 steals herself and was the leading scorer for the Fever. Her supporters would have liked to see her score 30 and have half as many turnovers, but anyone who is realistic knows there will be an adjustment period between college and the pros, and this was a very solid first game.

You can't say *I* when you win and *we* when you lose. Ya'll are the one's that hyped Caitlin Clark as being the face of the WNBA. Now all I'm hearing is excuses. Just play basketball. This is the real world, no one's going to give you anything.

Diana Taurasi was right. Caitlin has a lot to learn about the WNBA level. She was awful in the first game. She shot 5-15 and turned it over 10 times? Anybody else would have been benched. Most coaches won't let you get to 10 turnovers.

i play 1 season of college football n i’ll never forget the first week of camp and how much faster everybody seemed but once u got acclimated to it some success came with it.

She will be fine. It's an adjustment. It's not college anymore. She just starts her career off with a tough veteran team like the Sun and next she has the Liberty who made the finals last year. It's a tough start for a rookie on a team that was bad last year, but she will adjust and she and her teammates will continue to grow and get better together

Don't get me wrong here because I think Caitlin is a great talent and will become a top level WNBA player but.... Yah, 20pts on 5/15, only 3 assists and zero rebounds with a 41% usage is a 'good game' in what world? It is an expected game from a rookie making their first start but that isn't a good stat line. 41% usage is just stupid for a rookie's first game, that needs to come way WAY down. No one in the NBA has anything close to that, not Labron, not Joker, not Curry... No one in the WNBA has close to that... Indiana cannot win with Caitlin having a 41% usage, as a rookie if they keep that up they won't even make the playoffs.

The WNBA & NBA are filled with the best college players at their respective schools and, of course, some high school players who were exceptional, so there's no question it was gonna be tough for her. She'll learn what she needs to do as time and games pass, but this level of pressure and high expectations of 1 game to make or break interest in women's basketball is beyond insane!

That first half was a struggle lol. But she's just a rookie and let's be honest. Indiana's roster isn't that great, they're not turning into the Aces because of one rookie.

The two ladies were insightful and correct. Mr. Steven was kind and correct. The ladies shared how she could get better and how they got better. Here our my ways to get better based on my experience with HS Athletes. As I watched this game I observed the following: 1. Clark and the rest of the team need to move without the ball. To much standing and watching. Cut back door or come to the pass if your feet are still your going to loose. 2. Clark needs to get stronger. Weights, plyometrics, and yoga. 3. Clark needs to get stronger and move better on defense. Weights, plyometrics, and yoga. 4. Clark needs to develop a fall away and turn around jumper with in the 12 feet of the basket. 5. The pressure has to be immense on the rookie who was a college force just a month ago. With off court work on her weakness she will get better because she is already good. 6. And stop all this fire the coach stuff. Clark has entered a whole different level than D 1 College. These athletes are the best in the basketball world. Clark will adapt but these professionals are full of pride and don’t want to be shown up by a rookie. Welcome to the WNBA.
