I am really happy as a Real Madrid fan. As much as we where hyped about Xabi Alonso comming and Ancelotti continuing to manage Rodrygo, Vini and Eder i think giving Alonso another season is for the best and we get to still have an extremely experienced manager when Mbappe or whoever we sign in the summer signs!

@@aiyacharlene I complete agree that I don't want to see Mbappe mostly because he plays in the exact same position as Vini and either we are going to hamper vini's growth by playing him out of position or we are going to have Mbappe crying that he does not want to play down the middle like he did when he had Neymar and Di Maria in the team. While Endrick is a exciting prospect i think we should go for someone like Osimhen instead since throwing a 17 year old into our first time as starting striker every game is going to be far too much pressure and it's going to end up like Jovic.

He had one good season so far, and already has a 130M+ release clause specifically for clueless clubs like Chelsea or Man United to throw money away over. And he misses a crucial period during the title race because of national duties. It's not a sensible signing for a club like Real Madrid at all.

I am happy we extended Ancelotti’s contract. He has more than proven himself this season despite the long list of injuries we have. It would have been nice to see him as the Brazilian National Team coach but after he is finished with his job at Real Madrid. In the meantime though, if Jose Mourinho is a free agent I think the CBF should seek to hire him as the national team coach. Interim Varane would fit in perfectly in the squad as he knows the players and the coach very well. For at least the short time for the others’ recovery. I haven’t been keeping up with his fitness at Man U but it really depends on that and if he wants to leave.

OK now, we got our coach set for another 2 years. Now we need to find and sign several great players to fill the holes that our injured first team players have left this team in a bit disarray. He has had many Portuguese speaking colleagues throughout his career both as a player and manager, Spanish and Portuguese have similarities enough that he can surely learn how to speak it over time and use a translator to assist a bit.

I never thought Ancelotti would ever leave Real Madrid given the success at the club over the years. Having said that, Brazil is in a lot of trouble. No president, no manager, the World Cup will soon be 2 years away. Plus, Brazil has not looked particularly great in these friendlies lately. Part of that is injuries but a lot of it is tactics. I still believe they qualify for 2026, but the path won't be as easy as it might have been in years past. Copa America in 2024 will be a big test to see IF some of those issues have been fixed. Either way, Brazil really mismanaged this entire thing from the beginning
